The nearby beach isn't located very close to the apartments. You need to walk about 25-30 minutes or take a bus, which takes 10-15 minutes. The apartments are located in the upper part of the city, so you will need to climb a lot of stairs every time when you are going out.

It was an absolutely fantastic stay. The house lord Alessandro is an amazing man, he is very friendly, helpful, attentive and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. The breakfasts were like staying at parent's home, with 90% of the food being homemade and of perfect quality! And all this, with amazing panoramic views of the sea from the rooftop. The apartment itself was in great condition, and the view from the windows was breathtaking. We will definitely return if given the chance.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Il Bottone al Duomo. From the moment we arrived, Alessandro was the perfect host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. He took the time to explain everything in detail, from how the property works to where to eat, what to visit, and even helped with parking and logistics. You immediately feel you’re in good hands. The room was elegant, comfortable, spotless clean and full of thoughtful details. Waking up to the view from the window and balcony was something magical: rooftops of the historic center with the sea in the background, just stunning. And then there’s the breakfast… what an experience. Every morning, Alessandro served a beautiful spread on the terrace—fresh fruit, home made pastries, eggs, great coffee—all while overlooking the Duomo and the glittering bay of Gaeta. It’s one of those rare moments where you pause and just take it all in. This place is not just a stay—it’s an experience, full of charm and soul, made truly special by Alessandro’s care. The property is beautifully kept, quiet, and has everything you need including a fantastic view, very comfortable accommodation, an excellent breakfast on a beautiful roof terrace looking out across the ocean. Local restaurants and bars are excellent, and Gaeta is steeped in history. Best of all you are looked after by the most friendly and attentive host you could imagine. Alessandro really couldn’t do enough for his guests and is always at the end of a phone to help with anything, from best beach suggestions, any queries you may have, he even provided us with a blue parking badge which allows you to park anywhere in town. Incredible service. Thoroughly recommend!

We spent a week in Gaeta and this apartment is fantastic. The views from the private terrace is fenomenal over the harbour area. The terrace breakfast was great and had a lovely selection for every need. Alessandro, the host, is the most helpful and caring host you can get. He really loves what he does and has a well of great advice and information about things to do and see around the city. It is situated in a picturesque area of the town, with a ton of restaurants and bars near by. The room we had was marvelous. We were 5 and it fitted us perfectly. It is called a B&B, but it felt like a hotel. You cannot go wrong with selecting this place.

Everything great.

A very tasteful newly renovated apartment with balcony and view over the roofs of the old town of beautiful Gaeta over the sea to the mountains. It's in a house in the narrow streets from the middle ages. There is a roof terrace for the gorgeous Italian breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening with a perfect view. Alessandro is a very nice and helpful host. And all that for a reasonable price. It's just some stairs from the street. We can highly recommend it.

The steps from ground level up to the apartment were difficult with my knee problem

Where can I start? Allesandro was the most wonderful host, guiding us to his garage and helping to carry our bags to our apartment. The apartment was immaculate, very clean and well maintained. The kitchenette included a fridge freezer, hob, sink and numerous cooking implements. The bedroom was stunning with a great view towards the sea and mountains beyond. Breakfast is prepared and served by Alessandro and it really is excellent with the most beautiful of views. We were touring for 7 weeks and Gaeta has been the icing on the cake, all made wonderful by our fantastic host. For English speaking people Allesandro speaks really good English.

Very kind and helpful host. Rooms were just perfect, clean, spacious and with a nice view. Everything you need in a room. Breakfast was on top of the building with a broad selection of delicious items. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance, you will receive a list of recommendations from the host. If you come by car you will receive a parking card, with this you can freely park all over town. I would visit this place again to explore more of this region!

Can’t think of a thing!!

Alessandro was an incredible host and asset. He provided everything from directions, a parking pass, recommendations to everything from restaurants, hiking, beaches and cultural insights. The location was outstanding, the views stunning and the breakfast was above and beyond. The physical space was very generous with a private roof deck and good size kitchen. The city, hotel and owner are real gems.

Alessandro was an awsome host! He was responsive immediately and took care of everything. We left an item behind which he found while turning the room, messaged me and mailed it to my next hotel! Breakfast on the terrace was stunning! Only caveat......there's a lot of stairs as this is a very original building to the region. Alessandro carried our cases coming in and leaving. Truly above and beyond! Beautiful room and location!!
