How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room walls are not insulated well (it is an older house) and I could hear the people in the next room talking at 4am. I am a very light sleeper though, and I don't think this would be noticed by others.
Room was spacious and the shared bathroom was large. The bed was very comfortable.

I am extremely satisfied with my stay. Mrs. Giada is a very kind and welcoming host, and communication with her was excellent. The entire experience was smooth and pleasant, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The sheets felt overused, too old. Had to sleep covered by a blanket. We arrived a bit late in the afternoon to civitavecchia and the b&b was quite far away from the station and it took us a while to get a cab. Then we waited for a half hour for the lady to open the door for us. First we thought she wasn’t around but she had been inside the house the whole time. It’s a bit unsettling. The aircon was life saving.
It was very well taken care of

A short ride away from the port. Friendly host. Good spacious room with fast interner connection. Secure spot to park the motorcycle. Great pizza place nearby.

The transportation is not to easy for people who has mobility problems
The place is nice if you want to rest. For my husband and I was a little far from the center,but the friendly staff makes you feel like home. Giada helps us with everything that we need. Even her father was so nice. He took us yo the port for small amount of money.

1. There were no facilities for making a cup of tea/coffee; the nearest coffee bar is 5-10 minutes away on foot. 2. This is no way reflects on the property.... The location, in relation to the port of Civitavecchia, however, proved to be problematic. Despite the relatively short distance, the taxi fare from port to accommodation was exorbitant. Trying to obtain a taxi or Uber driver to take us back to the port was impossible; we had to resort to the kind help from a local resident.
The hostess was very welcoming. The room was neat, clean and comfortable.

For the price the bathroom needed updating and general decor improved.

The bed wasn't super comfortable, and the people that I shared the bathroom with didn't leave it very clean after use. It would also be nice to have coffee or some kind of breakfast available as the location is in a residential area.
It was in a secure gated property, the older man who greeted me was very nice and friendly. The room was spacious with large doors to a shared balcony, and the a/c worked very well.

Mosquitos :) Arm with anti mosquito devices to survive the night with an open window
Beautiful place, cute and quiet neighborhood. The hosts are very nice <3 Everything was amazing, especially that hot water in the shower gets hot in an instant, you don't have to wait, what kind of magic is this O_o
