Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRooms were on the smaller side, but it did not bother us since we only used the room to sleep.
The hotel's location is ideal. Venice is full of small bridges, making this an ideal stay without having to carry your luggage around Venice. After 1 day in the city and experiencing all of the walking, my wife and I were so glad we stayed at this hotel. It is also a nice bonus that the hotel has a tour to the island of Murano that was included.

The hotel was extremely convenient to everything. Excellent location. The breakfast buffet looked delicious. We had an early morning flight, so they packed us a bag breakfast to take with us. They went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they pack us a lunch, but also made us a cappuccino in a take-away cup. Knowing that we had to catch a flight he made sure that he had us on our way quickly in the morning. When we check-in in the evening they were extremely helpful and nice. We really enjoyed our stay!!! Pillows and beds were soooo comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

United StatesNothing- the stay was perfect.
I have always wanted to stay on a canal in Venice- this was a bucket list item and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved everything about this hotel: the location, the morning breakfast, the friendly staff, the gorgeous room. Plus, the price cannot be beat. It was a great value! You absolutely MUST take advantage of their fantastic breakfast spread white sitting outside and watching all the different types of boats go by: taxis, police, ambulance, laundry, deliveries, groceries...I even saw a HEARSE boat carrying a COFFIN! It was wild. Also- there is a gorgeous church right across the canal next to the train station- worth a peak! Its connected to a little store carrying all kinds of interesting religious items. I ended up buying small viles of oil with healing properties from a monastery in Italy as a present to give to friends and family- a very unique gift! Also, the restaurant around the corner, Vittoria dal 1938 is FANTASTIC. Very unique spin on Venetian dishes, absolutely delicious, and incredibly memorable.

United StatesLimited counter space in bath, difficult to keep floor dry because of shower door configuration. This was a minor issue, except the floors are polished marble. Be careful!
Great location on the main canal, convenient to the train station and gondola dock. Terrific breakfast. Quaint room, very clean.

United KingdomThe hotel was excellent! The bed was very comfortable, and our room and bathroom were spacious, very clean, and lovely. The location right on the Grand Canal was perfect. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. A special thanks to Francesca at the front desk—she was incredibly helpful in guiding us around Venice and made our stay even better. The hotel is also very convenient to the train station. Highly recommend this hotel!

United StatesI had to carry my luggage over a bridge to get to the hotel, and then cross two more small bridges to reach Piazzale Roma, where I caught the bus to the airport.
This was my second time staying at Hotel Antiche Figure. I was looking for a hotel near the train station and also close to Piazzale Roma so that I didn't have to take a vaporetto. The annex room for three was large and even had a sink. Because our flight was early, we didn't have breakfast.

BelgiumAll very good, maybe the price a bit high, but probably to be expected for Venice.
Beautiful room, well appointed, elegant decor, great location. Particularly polite staff. Very clean. Good breakfast. Early check in (2.00 pm) and late check out (12.00). Very close to one of the parking areas (Garage San Marco).

United StatesWe had no issues at all.
Great location and the staff at the hotel were very helpful. Being on the main canal made getting a boat taxi or gondola easy. Also walking to anywhere was as easy as Venice can be. Lots of restaurants and other shopping was close by. Being so close to the train station was a big plus too. All in all this was an excellent hotel for our holiday in Venice.

United StatesOnly thing that could have been better would be the condition of the carpet in the elevator landings. It was noticeably stained and dirty.
Location was wonderful. We had large room on top floor overlooking the canal. Room was clean and well appointed. Had king bed plus two twin roll away beds with room for all our bags. Staff was friendly and super helpful and even made us dinner reservations and a private water taxi back to airport. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the outside tables both for afternoon cocktails and during breakfast.

BelgiumAbsolutely nothing – we loved everything!
Excellent location, great breakfast, and very good value for money. The room was small, but we didn’t mind at all since we spent most of our time exploring the city. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist (I believe his name was something like Edgias or Edjias - I apologize if I got it wrong). He was incredibly kind and helpful, gave us all the information we needed, explained everything in detail, and recommended what to see and where to go. We arrived in the evening, and he immediately booked a table for us at a nearby restaurant, which turned out to be amazing - delicious, cozy, and reasonably priced. Thanks to him, we felt truly welcome and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was very important during the hot weather.

United StatesMy first time in Venice and didn’t know we can take a boat across for our luggage. We ended up climbing stairs with our heavy luggage. It is nice to advertise for first timers .
After a long train from Florence, it was nice to have a hotel located across the train station with friendly staff.
