Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The stay in Liolá in Cefalù was great. The apartment was spacious, had a terrace, the fridge was full of welcome beverages, we had snacks and the host was very helpful and welcoming. We also booked a parking spot, which I would recommend, since Cefalù gets quite packed during the season. There are a few spots where you can swim, a beach nearby, a few spots in the old town too. All places you might want to visit are easily accessible and quite close to the apartment.

Very nice place! The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. He gave us recommendations which were very good. The AC here was probably the best during our whole trip. The place was walkable to what we had to do! I would stay here again!

This was a perfect place to stay in Cefalu. The room was clean, well-equipped and comfortable, and it was in a great location. Even better than the place itself, was the host who took great care of us. They helped us with our luggage and parking, gave us great food and drink recommendations, and they let us leave our bags while we grabbed one more delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here!

The location is central and a few minutes walk to the beach. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was clean. Ignazio the owner was very attentive and accommodating. We would stay here again.

Everything was absolutely great!
The property is very nice and clean. Location is amazing, short walk from all things you need to see. Also there was a grocery shop nearby which was convenient. Parking was very close, in a secured parking lot. Our host was amazing, he really went above and beyond to help us with checking-in, giving food recommendations, and everything else that we needed. We felt extremly welcomed, and his hospitality is one of the highlights of our entire trip :)

Everything was excellent!
Excellent accommodation perfect for exploring Cefalu! Easy walkable distance to the beach and historic center. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a beautiful spacious covered balcony. Above all, Gisella was an amazing host! She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and gave great recommendations. She helped me to park and we were able to store our bags. She is extremely kind and accommodating. She even helped me work on my Italian! Would love to return to Liola on my next visit and would absolutely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Liolá, from the moment we checked in Gisella and her husband gave us the warmest welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. They gave us fantastic local recommendations and were always on hand for any questions. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and a short walk away from Cefalù. Excellent location. Few minutes walk from station. Close to beach and very short walk to centre. Very clean modern room with comfortable bed and good shower.. Coffee and cold drinks included in price. Very friendly and helpful owner.

The owner (Ignazio) and his wife were very kind and made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful room with a very nice terrace. The location is quite good as it is not in the old city centre but a 3 minute walk will get you to the beach and a 15 minute walk will get you to all landmarks. I would definitely recommend staying at Liolá Cefalù!

Maybe we should mention that the hallway/ kitchen area is shared for all 3 rooms, during summer I assume you'll meet other folks. During winter we were the only ones there so we had the entire kitchen and hallway areas just for us.
We loved the entire experience. We have been in Cefalu during winter season, hence we needed a warm & cozy place to stay. What we absolutely liked was the hospitality of the owners from the point of welcome to the departure. All was great!

The only negative thing was that the walls were thin and you could easily hear noises from the other rooms. But anyway it was quiet enough for us to enjoy the stay.
The location was really good, very clean and the staff really nice and open to communicating any issues.

I liked everything.
Gusella was so helpful. As soon as we got there and unloaded the car she took us 50 yards up the road to our private parking. She just couldn't do enough for us. She was absolutely lovely. The room was spacious, modern and nicely decorated. We also had a sun lounge. There is a fridge and cooking facilities outside the room. They had left us lots of free drinks and various nibbles. I just cannot say enough about how perfect the stay was here. 11 out of 10 for everything. When we left we were even given a gift.
