Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyLovely, peaceful house in the national park, great for hiking. The hosts Gina and Bea were very kind and helpful! The pool is a bit of a walk but worth it, very clean and surrounded by greenery.

United KingdomThe only downside of the location is that it’s quite a hilly and windy 1.45hr drive from Florence, so if you are like me and get car sick it can be tricky. But when you are there you won’t want to leave, we could have happily stayed longer. Note you’ll definitely need a car if you stay here.
Absolutely loved our stay here. A real Tuscan experience! Gina and Bea are both fantastic and they really made us feel so welcome. We got lucky and had the pool to ourselves for most of the week, amazing pool area. Would absolutely love to come back here some point soon, it couldn’t have been any better.

DenmarkShould be noted, that this is at mountain-town, litteratly. You will be walkng up and down the side of the mountain - both outside and indoors. This is not for the walking-impared. Sadly, the local restaurant cannot be recommended.
Exeptionally beautiful and historic site. Peaceful and quiet. A perfect retreat or base for excursions in the area or region.

From sunset till dawn 💜 This truly amazing place on earth …fairytale in the middle of nowhere.. surrounded by chestnut mountains. Here every soul IS living their lives. Stop… Enjoy The Moment! A place where kids are running, playing, laughing with no smartphones. Their parents and grandparents are enjoying each others company. Watching films in main square, listening to jazz .. kids are having fun celebrating Pinokios birthday 🥳 feels like they put their smartphones away just when they step over border of their village. It felt like we came in to someone’s household, home, family.. and I can’t even describe the feeling. They smile and greet you 🙏💜 The Place where time stops💜 Paldies par sajūtām💜🙏

DenmarkCan't think of anything.
The whole experience was just outstanding. From when we were greeted by Lorenzo, the accomodation, eating in Andrea and Lorenzo's restaurant, days at the swimming pool, the kindness of the villagers we met, the scenery and tours to nearby towns and villages. We had a hunch that Tuscany would steel our hearts again....and it did. Lorenzo and Andrea made sure that the stay has been absolutely unforgettable, simply by the way they go about doing things. We humbly thank Lorenzo, Andrea and the whole village for their hospitality. Grazie mille!!!!

New ZealandThe only thing we wish we could of stayed longer and did contemplate cancelling our visit to Venice to stay longer it was so hard to leave.
We were unsure what we were going to as the property is not on the normal tourist route but it has been the best stay we have had in three months of travelling. The apartment is very clean and you have everything you need except you do need to purchase your groceries before arriving from the town below (Bibbiena). The village is so beautiful, actually magical. The pool area is wonderful for swimming and cooling down in summer. There is a beautiful, authentic Italian restaurant run by two Italian brothers who are also the hosts for the apartment (Lorenzo and Andrea) both of them are absolutely charming, they are so friendly and accommodating ensuring you are well looked after. Our meal in the restaurant was exquisite and truly Italian made from all local produce. There is also a little bar run by a lovely Italian lady and she also has other luxury items for sale. The town is quiet and in the most idyllic setting in the the mountains, so if you are wanting to get away from it all this is the best place we have ever been. If you want action, shopping and lots of tourist then this is not the place for you.

RomaniaYou need to carry your luggage quite a long way to get to the apartments. On quite an inclined slope but all the effort is worth in the end.
Breakfast was good. Even if it's not buffet you won't leave the table hungry. Luca, the owner is top A person and will make his best to make your stay as good as possible. He relocated us to a different apartment due to a smelling problem in the bathroom of the first apartment we went housed.

Denmark1) the apartment was down a very steep alley in the village, and getting in and out of the apartment was at times a real physical challenge. It is certainly NOT for the walking disabled, or people with hip and knee problems. 2) the pool is far way! Walking down the road, it is rather 1,3 kms away from the apartment, and even though some might walk up and down the road to the pool, in practice most people would take the car. So it is not easy to get to the pool! Also, in their homepage, they claim that their pool is 18 meters long, but beside the pool there was a sign about the dimensions of the pool which stated, that the pool is only 15 meters long. 3) the WiFi was very unstable, and it was not possible to get online a couple of evenings during our stay! 4) the breakfast is very basic, not to say boring! It could have been nice to have had a bigger selection, and a few of the local produce included! 5) the level of information about the area given by the host was not satisfactory. For instance, there was a festival in the village on one of the evenings during our stay, but no one told us anything about it.
Raggiolo is a charming village in the hills of Tuscany. The apartment we stayed at, was also charming, and had a nice view of the surrounding hills. The equipment of the apartment was also ok. The woody surroundings of the pool was also nice.

GermanyThe pool is 2km away from the rooms and on a such steep hill that most of the people leave their car down at the road in order to walk the last meters. If they wouldn’t advertise the pool so actively, it would be ok. But advertising with something that is half an hour away is really disappointing. The rest was fine.
Friendly and helpful staff
