How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The dinner was not good at the restaurant and expensive for the food you were actually eating. The steak was a very bad cut of meat.
Location, pool and staff were wonderful. Ocean property.

Rooms / amenities/ facilities are quite basic. Not much in the way of aesthetic appeal or comfort. Listed as a 4-star hotel, but it’s 3-star at best.

The bed was terrible. Sliding off on one side. The breakfast was just ok. The cost of this place is not worth it.
Good location to town center. Our room was large but at an enormous cost.

The room was very small and a bit outdated. Do need some refurbishment
Walking distant to main tourist attraction. The pool area was excellent and open for use until 10 PM, which is excellent during hot summer months

The room was absolutely tiny and the shower was very small too. I could barely fit my case in the floor space. For just a bed to sleep on it was okay.
The pool was amazing and the included breakfast had a really good variety. Staff were very friendly and the location was great for a short walk into the town.

The staff were amazing particularly Derol on Reception. The hotel was in great location so we were able to walk everywhere. The pool was fabulous for relaxing in the heat of the day.

Non clean, very small room, the shower was broken in many different ways, air conditioner not working etc Dirty terrace. Not at all 4 star level.

Shortage of storage shelves/draws in bedroom.
We had a Junior Suite with Terrace which was large and had sofa and chairs and sun loungers, and had the sun all day. It had a large sheltered swimming pool with jacuzzi jets, surrounded by artificial grass with loungers and chairs. Lovely large dinning room, good selection at breakfast.

Minor inconvenience with the fridge
The staff was very helpful and well-mannered. The location was great, 5/6 minutes from the trulli area. It has also a pool.

The room was kind of small. Window screens would have been nice because of the insects during the summer.

The water flows easily out of the shower. We were in a room next to the reception and staff was talking loud during the night... Also no free space to leave the bikes inside.
Nice location 5 minutes from the center of Alberobello. Comfortable bed.

It is a great hotel. The stuff was friendly, the receptionist was kind and helpful. The Ristorante Pinnacolo should not be recommended as a good place, because the waiters were so rude, but I enjoyed staying in this hotel, it was a good choice.

It felt strange that it wasn’t very popular for August, I would expect more people in the swimming pool and diner running every night but this wasn’t the case , diner was at request and I didn’t see anyone requesting neither us
The thing I liked the most is the location , it was very clean and the staff was helpful .

Comfy beds, clean room, powerful shower. Nice pool area with sun beds and snack bar. Perfect location; a 5 min walk to the trulli of Alberobello. Staff on reception/bar were really helpful.

The location is five minutes walk to the sights. The breakfast restaurant is adjacent to a swimming pool, in the sunshine morning, it's very relaxed. Thank you 🙏.
