How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great location. Few minutes to the beach. Close to many restaurants and shops. Is in the middle of town it seems so easy to walk everywhere. About a 15 min walk to the train station. The room had 1 double bed and 2 twin bunk beds. The balcony was nice to have. The bathroom is smaller with a hair dryer. The staff are super friendly. There are croissants and coffee/ tea for breakfast which are delicious. And you get discounts at nearby restaurants and beach locations.

The soundproofing within the hotel between rooms and the hallway could be better, but for this price it's amazing choice!
The hotel is in the amazing location, right on the liveliest street in the city, BUT the soundproofing with the street is perfect. The beach is a 3 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants around. The stuff is very friendly and always ready to help. I will definitely visit it again.

All of these were absolutely not a big deal for me, but I'll write it just to let you know why I gave it a 9 not 10: The floor on the terras could have been cleaner, the wind did it's job and it was dusty; I saw a fade shoe footprints on the bathroom's floor event though it was obviously clean, those footprints stubbornly stayed there, and I didn't really like the type of brown toilet paper they use.
I really liked my stay here. I even got a double bad room even though during the booking the picture showed single bad. I liked breakfast option with free coffee, croissant, and a bit of other things. Not a complete breakfast but it's just perfect untill you find or decide where and what you would like to eat outside. And I especially loved it because it's up to 11 which is perfect for late wake uppers such as I am. Facilities in room was good to make my stay comfortable.

Only complaint is the details shared on the booking page with regards to parking. Parking is a hassle, I recommend notifying the Hotel before check-in if you want to reserve a parking spot.
Hotel Hawaii delivers on what it offers. It is a very neat little hotel that exceeded my expectations, that were set accordingly to the 2 star quality and price. Kind staff, cute and comfy rooms, with an excellent location. It's at the main walking / shopping street and a 4 min walk from the beach. Breakfast was quite alright too.

No tea/coffee making facilities provided in room, could slso do with a fridge.
Location good, room was clean, plenty of choice for breakfast and overall value for our 9 night stay was great.

A bit more toilet paper would have been nice. There is a bidet in every bathroom (duuh, Italy) but still, 1 meager 1-ply roll every two days is stretching it a bit. Also, not the hotels fault by any means but plan your trip wisely because the parking situation in that area is tough. Very tight spaces, not a lot of park houses and the blue spots are really expensive
The breakfast is great. As is the staff. Big thank you to the receptionist who helped us find a parking spot on our first day. Rooms are clean and tidy, balcony was really large and I especially like the fact that they only change the towels every 2nd day, helps keep waste and water use low.
