How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The shower has not been finished and the water everywhere gave a little discomfort.Also when I checked out the reception lady is very rude she told me it will deducted 14€ from my deposit for city tax I asked her why Perviously not informed she said its not my problem😒she wanted to blame her colleague. Its not normal.

Verified reviewI had difficulty with the room and temperature. I have a medical condition and need a cool quiet sleeping environment. I tried unsuccessfully to get the staff to adjust the temp in my room I would like some points added to my Hilton honors card to compensate for the inefficient room temperature.
Did not like room temperature. Also the revolving door automatic function of the front entrance was not working, also the bottled water dispenser in the workout room did not work. I reported all of this to the staff. I am requesting additional points be added for my stay on my Hilton Honors Card for the deficiencies in room temperature, broken water dispenser and inoperative front revolving door.

Verified reviewA very elegant and modern hotel with private parking. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were certainly very friendly and professional. Starting with breakfast, I'd say it was very varied, with delicious local products, which we thoroughly enjoyed, only In my opinion, perhaps the English breakfast could be improved a bit, but it depends on your taste. The room was very elegant, well-finished, and particularly spacious. The double bed was very comfortable, and the room had a,air conditioning. The bathroom was very modern and surprisingly spacious. Otherwise, everything was perfect for a day at the magical Venice with the family.
Honestly there was nothing we didn't like, a very welcoming hotel with everything you need!!

Verified reviewThe room was clean and full of all the amenities for living. Very good breakfast with variety of foods. Staff is nice and friendly.
- The parking cost 29€ per day. Why it’s not free for guests? We travelled by car and it was important for us. We were very upset that the hotel guests were still charged such a sum. - On reception you can pay only by card, cash is not accepted. This was also a surprise for us and a big difficulty to check-in.

Parking is very expensive. Breakfast gets a little bit busy, although the hotel provides guidance into the best time to attend. We had an issue with the room TV and unfortunately at a certain time, no one from maintenance was available, although we have then been provided with an alternative room. Being a new property, I would have expected that staff is more available to sort the teething problems.

Verified reviewThe room standard is the high, The location was great and strategic as you can easily walk to get to the mover train or the boats taxi station so you can go anywhere in Venice. Also the staff was helpful and reliable.
Only the parking fees for the car is very high. So plan to not bring it if you will stay for long here.

Verified reviewWe recently stayed at your hotel and overall found it to be lovely, with beautiful surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere. However, I would like to share some constructive feedback regarding an issue we experienced. On our first night, my son unfortunately became unwell and was sick in both the bathroom and on the bed/floor. I stripped the beds and gathered the soiled sheets before contacting reception for assistance. At that time, I was told there were no housekeeping staff available, and the only options offered were either to move to a smaller double room (as no triples were available) or to clean it up. We chose to move rooms, though it meant squeezing into a smaller space. The next morning, I was surprised that our original room was not made a priority to be cleaned. At 11am, it was still dirty with visible sickness on the floor. When we returned later that day, it had been cleaned, but there was still a strong odour, dried sick under the bed, and some residue left in the bathroom. What also stood out was the comment from reception that “a cleaning fee would not be charged this time.” Given the circumstances a child being unexpectedly unwell I found this wording lacked empathy and suggested that we were fortunate not to be penalised, rather than reassured that the situation was being dealt with appropriately. I completely understand that these things happen and that staff availability can be limited, but a more supportive response, prioritised cleaning, and more sensitive communication from staff would have made a big difference to our stay. I share this feedback constructively, in the hope it helps improve procedures for dealing with such situations in the future.
