How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

However, the breakfast was very disappointing. It consisted of only a single croissant, a coffee, and a yogurt no water as there was a charge for that. I was always left feeling hungry and had to spend more money on food as soon as I left the hotel each morning. For a place positioned as a luxury stay, the breakfast offering really needs improvement
The reception was friendly, welcoming and was helpful whenever i needed some help, and the rooms were absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and stylish, just as expected from a luxury stay.

You could hear everything because our room was next to check in and the street but a pair of earplugs fixed the situation. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Cristina and Marcos were so accommodating and helpful that our stay was more pleasant because of them.

Lovely spacious room. Interior was a little older, the beds were comfy enough to have a good nights sleep on. The people were extremely kind. The breakfast provided in the room each day was simple but tasty and filling. Clear instructions as to what was free and what you would be charged extra for (e.g. bottled drinks). The location was incredible, just a short walk from the Trevi fountain and other sights. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not used to a shower curtain and I didn't always manage to contain the water within the cubicle. Water drained slowly.
Cristina and other staff were lovely. Gave recommendations for local restaurants. Clean room with kettle, coffee maker, fridge. Bed was comfortable too.

The room was quite hot, even though it was the end of October and quite cool outside because it did not encourage airflow (the window opens upwards, so warm air can't escape). A simple fan would significanty improve the comfort. However, we had read from other reviews that the rooms were warm and somewhat expected this, so it wasn't a dealbreaker. Also,the drains did not drain properly. Again, it was a good value for the money, since it's much cheaper than most other options in Rome.
The room was large and in a great location. It wasn't perfect, but for the price (considering how expensive Rome is) it can't be beat. The woman who seems to run the hotel is very nice and works very hard.

The room and the bathroom were extremely small. Even though they said the breakfast was included, it was just a few products from the convenience store. It didn’t look attractive at all, so we didn’t touch it.
Great location, the lady at the reception was nice, the room was clean and quiet.

The listing noted laundry services for an extra amount, but they did not actually have laundry services on the premises. They said there was a place several blocks away but did not have any details about the services. The room also said it would have a bath tub, but this was not the case.
The location was pretty good.

Hotel was not easy to find. It has no signs and no visible lobby.

Some dust here and there. Check in is possible until late but key will be on the desk, no person there. Made us a little confused

Old hotel and bathroom was not that great Best is AC and they have charged me for 1.50 cent for the water which is sad
