The bed was a bit soft. The floor had some dust/sand but not a big problem at all.

The location is amazing. Great view, very close to the lake. Good AC and shower.

While located in a beautiful area and is very central to restaurants and bars, we struggled finding the property upon arrival. However the guide we received on email was helpful.

I would have liked to meet/see the owner. It was weird to not interact with a human. We couldn’t ask questions or get suggestions.

We did not get a breakfast so I can’t comment on that. I appreciated using the kitchen.

1. Difficult to find. We were already in Varenna when the direction video was sent, so we didn’t see it until much later. 2 Having no staff available. 3. Delayed check in, after a tiring day of travel. 4. Old, hard, uncomfortable pillows. (1 each) 5. Dimly lit room. Some lights not working, such as over the bathroom sink.

We enjoyed having a full kitchen available. We only used it for a simple breakfast, but it was still nice. The property is well situated, not far from the lake, a fruit stand/tiny grocery, and restaurants.

The very echo-y shared kitchen was very noisy. Other guests would be cooking and making loud noises when we were trying to sleep (after 10pm)

Only one pillow per person on the bed, which were very flat! The spare pillows in wardrobe did not have pillowcases on and also the wardrobes smelt very old and musty, I did not want to hang any clothes in. In first room we were in the bathroom door did not close. luckily I’ve been with my husband for 45 years so it didn’t matter if you know what I mean! Second room we were in the door in the shower wouldn’t shut and toilet seat was wobbly! The communication with host on the day was not good. They said they’d let me know if early check in would be available on the day but they didn’t and I ended up sending several messages and leaving voicemail. We ended up leaving our cases in a bar close by! Also there was a mix up with room keys so we didn’t get room we’d booked until the second night. On a positive note they did reimburse us for one night which was good.

The location is excellent. The shared kitchen was helpful too. The little terrace off the bedroom was a nice view

Difficult to find. Check-in was a horror show. All sorts of technical problems with the on-line check process. I sent passport photos 3 times. Check-in communications were very poor.. This got our stay off to a bad start.

Stayed here for four nights after flying straight from NZ. Perfect location metres from water front and square. We stayed in the room with the terrace with a view which was a great place to hang out. Shower is cramped. Kitchen a great place to prepare meals to save some money. Varenna and surrounds are sensational!

The host has prepared a video. However, the entrance to the hotel's street is not very clear. The bathroom had no door. This is not good.

It was difficult to find out the place. Especially someone coming in the late evening. As there is no one to ask. For me the checkin information was received late and my net connection was low when i arrived. so couldn’t see the video information provided. A suggestion is to read the entire instructions and watch video before arrival so can be prepared to find out the place easily.

Property location is good, easily accessible to ferry and train. Clean place, good kitchen.

Balcony with the lake view. The bed is so comfortable. Need to add extra pillow because the pillow is too thin for me. Clean, very quiet, and very near to the ferry terminal, cafe, restaurant and 15 mins walk to the train station. The shower is small but the hot water runs perfect The room was in good temperature. Very clean shared kitchen downstairs but we didn't use it. Communication with the host was easy too. Online check in, online paid the city tax. And they provided WhatsApp number just in case you need it

The only issue, really, was the fact that there are no staff on or, apparently, near the premises to help you if you need it. We needed additional towels, and it took a long time to get them. Would have also appreciated an international news channel in English.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-located, and we really did have access to a lovely terrace. Breakfast wasn't included, but we had a nice kitchen to use.

The kitchen was a shared space which could be a bit noisy as we had the downstairs room when other guest were cooking. The view that is used to advertise the property - I.e the terrace is only accessible from one of the upstairs bedrooms. There is another terrace that can be used by the other two rooms but there is no lake view from that.

Traditional stone built building. Individual lockable rooms with a shared kitchen facility. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Brilliant location and very helpful and prompt service from the property management-all online.

The room was a bit stuffed inside and had sort of a weird smell, but didn't bother us that much. We could also hear the rooms that were above us when people moved, but also not a deal breaker.

This place is in the middle of Varenna close to all the nice restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend if you want something in the buzz if the town. It's easy to find and the staff ws very nice and accommodating when we asked to check in a bit earlier.
