We liked everything!

We liked everything! The view, the room, the home, the pool, the breakfast!! Did we mention the view!!!. Lucia was very helpful. Sondrio is a small community so when we arrived all taxi's were unavailable and we didn't know the bus system. Lucia got us a ride through a friend, and that was the beginning of our best stay in Italy! Next day we rented electric bikes and were good to go. If you have a car there is plenty of room for parking. We stayed in Italy for 2.5 weeks, 5 different places and my wife and I both agreed this was our favorite. If you are going to Sondrio for cooler weather and wine tasting (love nebbiola) do yourself a favor and book your stay here. Thank you Lucia! Leo and Liqun

The facilities are modern with excellent presentation and lovely views. Lucia is the most welcoming and helpful host you could wish for. Nothing is too much trouble. Great dining recommendations and support with bookings.

It is set in a little village with narrow roads above Sondrio, and with entrances on 2 levels along narrow cul de sac lanes, and there was literally only a very few inches on either side of our Tesla Y at the start of either lane. Considerable manoeuvring is required to park cars considerately, so it is helpful to be a confident driver and know one’s car well.

We echo the other reviews about this striking modern guesthouse in Mossini with amazing views, above Sondrio and the valley. We had a delightful corner room with a generous balcony giving us great views, and which were echoed in the breakfast / lounge area on the floor below, The always open swimming pool, with spa jets, was lovely. Lucia was an interested, warm and helpful hostess, offering suggestions as where to eat, etc.. We did find our room rather warm but Lucia provided an electric fan. Free electric charging is available in the garage (lower lane entrance), and there is also a Tesla Supercharging Station called Sondrio about 15 minutes west of Sondrio; it is called Sondrio on the Tesla charging map, efficient but badly signed!

The property is spotless clean and modernly furnished with breathtaking views. The pool area is wonderful with a heated pool area boosting mountain views whilst having a relaxing dip. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Lucia who was a wonderful host.

The host was very welcoming to every guest, making this stay a fantastic experience. Highly recommended! The overall environment and rooms were very clean and tidy. The space was also large, and there was even a balcony. The swimming pool and sauna were excellent, with no time restrictions. After skiing, it was the perfect way to relax. Breakfast was delicious, with handmade croissants and desserts. Paired with the stunning view, it was a wonderful way to start the day. I truly loved this place—every detail reflected the host’s dedication. I will definitely visit again in the future!

We had an incredible stay at Guest House Le Cassandre in Sondrio. The heated swimming pool and sauna were perfect for winter relaxation. Lucia, the host, was warm and welcoming, preparing a fresh and delicious breakfast every morning. The breathtaking view of Sondrio from the hotel made our stay even more special. Highly recommended for a cozy and relaxing getaway!

A little bit hard to reach, but overall an amazing place to stay!

The room was clean, the fridge well equipped and affordable! Parking spot to leave your car. The breakfast was really good, and the staff very polite and eager to help you out with any request! Generally speaking, 150% recommended! 😊

Nothing really - only minor things, like swimming pool ideally being one or two degrees warmer (which is not meant to distract from the fact that the pool is pretty nice), maybe a few additional hangers for towels in the room... really little things

Charming and newly refurbished guest house with an excellent breakfast and great views. Very easy to reach from Sondrio. Very much enjoyed the swimming pool and were very well looked after by the host! Would definitely go again.

The only drawback with this accommodation was the access to the parking space. We had a fairly large car and it was impossible to turn the hairpin bend into the lane where the guesthouse is located. We had to make several manoeuvres to make the turn. Having said that, we loved everything else about the place and Lucia was charming and gracious.

Excellent and modern hotel with a lot of wood and designer touches! Loved the breakfast and the view from the property. The staff is nice and friendly as well. Relatively close to St Moritz. When arriving with a bit lower car - perhaps the upper parking might be a better choice :-)

Amazing Hotel!!! Super clean, comfortable and modern place to stay with amazing views and breakfast. The rooms are perfect. The host was super friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The pool had the perfect temperature to relax in after a busy day. Great location to go for hikes, Mountainbiking or skiing with a good choice of great restaurants within short driving distance. Highly recommend a stay here for anyone in the area.

It was a little bit warm in the room at night (There was a high-temperature warning in the weather forecast), but an enough-sized fan in the room helped the air circulate and helped us go to sleep.

I strongly recommend this place. The overall experience was beyond amazing. When we were still on the way, Lucia (the owner) reached out to me to ask about the estimated time of arrival. Since we were arriving around 7:30pm, she recommended several restaurants for us, and we ended up chosing Osteria 99. And Lucia immediately booked a table there for us. The check-in was very smooth and the parking garage is super spacious, efficient, and clean. We arrived, and Lucia’s greeting was lovely and warm. After we checked in, we headed to the restaurant which was 15 minutes away. The restaurant was crowded, and we wouldn’t have been able to eat right away without reservation. We really appreciated Lucia helped us get a table! The food was fantastic, and we loved the vibe and everything. The hotel has a beautiful pool with warm water and sauna as well. The view from the room was spectacular. They have nice selections of drinks, snacks, and even a free sparkling water fountain! Their complementary blueberries, apples, and apricots are from Lucia’s garden, and they were the best!! The breakfast was beautiful as well. Lucia made us delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. With the breathtaking views, of course. I realized that I accidentally brought the keys to the room with me at the Sondrio station. I messaged and called her feeling really sorry, but Lucia was calm and very generous saying that I could leave the keys at the station so that she could pick them up later. She was unbelievably kind and helpful in any possible ways. I would love to go back to Sondrio and stay there again. It was my favorite place among the entire places I’ve been in Italy.
