The towels were very thin and old and there was no soap or shampoo. The host spoke only Italian.

The location was unbeatable.

She will use your card for a deposit but you will have to pay the remainder in cash. This wasn’t clear at the time we booked.

Property was clean and centrally located near Varenna Ensino and the ferry port. It was also a short walk to the town center. The decor is pretty basic, but we just slept and showered here so that didn’t matter. Beds were comfortable and there were fans in the bedroom to help cool things off at night. There is also a washing machine, but we did not use it.

Everything was just right for our visit

Location was great, easy walk to ferries to access lake villages and train when working. We caught bus and train back to Milan without any problem. Apartment felt very very secure … older travellers nite there are a few stairs to carry suitcases up .. we managed with the help of the lovely Mrs Enza. Walk to ferries although flat comfy shoes needed.

I arrived with a new cold and there seems to be an Italian law that prohibits the use of the heater after April 15. I had the shivers the entire time I was there with the indoor temperature of 19 Celsius. I'm from Florida and this was difficult for me with a fever.

Although there was some slight language barrier with the host (we, 4 adults speak English and the host speak Italian), google translation was sufficient to keep communications running. The host, Enza, was friendly and really patient with us. The place had sufficient facilities as well. Some of the mattresses/bed frames weren't very comfortable. They were either thin or flimsy. Regardless, they were still manageable. I hope that this can be changed.

- kitchen had everything we needed for simple cooking - very close to train station, as well as to Varenna ferry port - the lady we met for checkin didnt speak any english, but she made a great effort to wait for us at the apartment when our flight into malpensa was delayed. We were in close contact with her on whatsapp (a chat will be opened up a few days before check-in for communication purposes). Highly appreciative of the lady for waiting for us!!!

The location was a 2 minute walk from the train station and ideal for getting everywhere. The apartment felt safe, was large for a family of 5 and the kitchen was the cutest!

heating wasn't allowed be turned on (its allowed during winter months, we stayed the end of april ) and it did get cold at night so bring some layers for bed time. The water pressure for the shower was very low and wasn't hot (not sure if it was due to the heating not been on) , that been said we would have no problem staying here again.

The location of this property was amazing, about 5 -7 minutes walk from the train station with luggage and 5 minutes walk to the ferry port for Bellagio etc . 6 of us stayed here for 2 nights ,it was basic but perfect for a base to explore and for the price we paid we were very happy. A little mini market next door with bread, pastries, take away cocktails etc and a lovely little balcony on the apartment to relax on. They allowed us late check out with no extra charge which was brilliant as we didnt have to carry our bags around for half of our last day. The host was waiting at the agreed time to give us the keys and everything went perfect.

The thing I don't like is the warm water in bathroom it is super slow and difficult 😣 to manage as weather is quite cold.

Location is perfect for Vaarena stay. Very close to ferry and convenient to go across Bellagio and Menaggio. Host is prompt in responding.

Pillows were flat and hard. October was really cold and rainy so apartment was really cold also and the heating was additional cost. Maybe because of cold but room smelled a little musty.

The mattress was very solid and the pillows varied in softness. The towels were mismatched and old. Our feeling was that although the property had many bonuses, it needs an upgrade.

We didn't have breakfast included. We did, however, have a kitchen, so were able to buy breakfast ingredients and make our own. We enjoyed having self catering facilities. The location of the property was extremely close to the train station and to the dock, which was perfect for us. It was also close to the walk along the shore and the town centre. We enjoyed having a balcony and the building was also very secure.

These are Little things but come to Mind when I think back on our stay: the Toilet constantly ran, the toilet seat was splashed and constantly wet The towels were Like a similar To My Loufa at Home The hairdryer was terrible. It was hot but it was not a blow dryer. More Like a toaster Oven I wouldn't consider the pillows suitable for sleep. The apartment was reminiscent of a going away to camp

As apartment is near the walkway heading towards the train station, so you can sometimes hear people walk by with luggage in the morning. The lounge isnt comfortable but i believe host will be getting a new one later this year, however since we were out most of the time, it wasnt a problem for me. A single bed wasnt very comfortable.

The apartment is in a good location, its near the wharf and train station plus its includes parking which was a real bonus. There is a lovely beach a few mins away and the main piazza and restaurant area is a 10 min stroll along the pretty waterfront promenade. The host was very kind and allowed us to leave our bags for the day and collect them at 4pm since the next guests were arriving late - this was really helpful as it allowed us to enjoy day out on ferry visiting the other towns, so a massive thumbs up for that. The apartment is very close to train station which was very useful as we left by train. It is a good size apartment with balcony which is located on the second floor - it is perfect for a family or group as it can sleep 6.

The location is fantastic, 2 minute walk from the train station. The apartment is big and roomy, great for the 4 of us. Only negative is none of us could get wifi the whole time we were there and the couch in the lounge room is so fragile you could hardly sit on it. The host Enza was helpful and met us at the apartment as arranged. All in all, a really good apartment in a beautiful place.

This was the perfect place for our stay in Varenna. From the moment we walked in, it felt like a home away from home. So cosy and quaint, with all the amenities we needed. Close location to the ferry and restaurants nearby, host was very friendly and helpful and greeted us when we arrived. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in Varenna.

Hygiene. The bed linens and the towels were not washed properly. The utensils probably were not clean and the cooking appliances.
