Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The accomodation is right in the middle of town but it is secluded that you cannot hear any noise from the upstairs room. Carlo has done an amazing job on the house itself, it’s clean, accessible and has an awesome kitchen/terrace chill out area. Carlo himself provided me with recommendations in the area, was great to chat to and even provided me with fresh fruit and water!

Narrow stairs to go to the room, room gets very warm despite the a/c. Bed quite short.
Central location, owner very helpful and responsive, kitchen offering a few options for breakfast. We loved the shared balcony

My room at the very top was big enough for a single. Might be tight for a double.
The location means you feel sea breezes and that its just a short walk in every direction to the great things, including Garibaldi Portal and center of action. Shared kitchen and terrace are really exceptional, very well stocked with what you need. Carlo is a wonderful host.

Carlo, the owner, was super nice! Rooms clean and kitchen equipped with everything... the terrace was a bonus and perfect for having breakfast. Would not recommend if you have mobility issues as you need to go a flight of stairs to get in the apartment. Plus if are allocated Rooms A & B there is another flight of winding stairs... but the location is PERFECT, only 2 minutes away from Porta Garibaldi. Highly recommend

everything great. carlo, super-friendly owner and host. clean, nice room with balcony. free coffee, tea, breakfast, fresh fruits, soap... communal kitchen and a nice roof-terrace. washing-mashine. great location: quiet but still close to the port and trainstation, between the old and new town. all in all - excellent. thank you.

Everything: - strategic position to park and then walk to the city centre - very welcoming host, he surprised us with some super nice cannoli and they were super fresh and really good - nice terrace, we had dinner there and the atmosphere was very tranquil - stylish and well equipped kitchen - we also used the washing machine - cozy room with everything needed and very clean Also a fridge with some sweets and juices This was the best stay ever. Thanks Carlo!

A great location in the beautiful old part of Marsala, the room was well designed, very comfortable and well equipped. There is a large shared kitchen and terrazza where you will meet other guests! Absolutely excellent!

The property was beautifully and thoughtfully put together, with all the kitchen amenities, a delightful shared patio, and a spacious and comfortable room. Carlo was so welcoming and helpful in suggesting local restaurants and even offering to find a solution for us when our tour to Favignana cancelled last minute (Egadi Tours! Boo!). This stay was a very welcome stop for us, and very close to everything the charming town of Marsala has to offer.

Crisp clean sheets, wardrobe space, fresh herb garden, the kitchen and terrace, washing machine and detergent and the location (and the jelly lollies). Directions to the property and parking were very good. Our host Carlo was very professional and accommodating.

Just a warning that if you have a room with a private bathroom it is up a steep spiral staircase and you will have gone up two already. As we were only there one night, we just took what we needed out the case and took it up but you may struggle if not. Having said this, I would still stay again.
Carlo was a great host and easily contactable. It is a guesthouse with lots of rooms and we had one with a private bathroom which was lovely. There is a shared kitchen with fridge and terrace with lots of the basic cooking things which was great. Bedroom was quite spacious, clean and with great air con. Carlo also allowed us to keep our cases there the next day and collect later on so we could explore Marsala. We only stayed one night but would have happily have stayed longer!

The apartment is very clean and equipped with everything necessary. Common kitchen and terrace are also very convenient. Nice big bed. Location is great and very close to all attractions. But the best part is Carlo, the host, very welcoming and caring, providing us with treats, fruits, drinks and even bikes and being very sweet. We enjoyed our stay a lot!
