This is an old palace converted to a hotel- on the extremely hot days it would take awhile for the rooms to cool to a tolerable temperature. This wasn’t a huge deal for us, but could be for some.

This is a beautiful hotel that is private and quiet in a pretty convenient location. The first few days we arrived and the weather was 40 degrees Celsius and it was very challenging to tour in the area- the hotel was a nice oasis for us to come back and take a dip in the pool with our kids and sip spritzes before dinner. We stayed 3 nights before venturing off to Venice, Lake Como, and Milan and returned for a 4 night stay in Florence. We are currently on our 2nd stay and have only experienced great service. The restaurant staff at breakfast were so nice and the staff around the pool. When we left they left us a sweet gift and thanked us for the stay.

The area around the hotel doesn’t always feel particularly safe, especially for a woman with a small child, though I may be overly cautious. I definitely wouldn’t walk around at night. The swimming pool is on the smaller side, and the deep end is very deep, so young children can only use a small portion of it.

The balcony offers a nice view, and the hotel is relatively close to the city center (Florence isn’t very big). The staff are very nice and helpful, and breakfast comes with a decent variety of options.

The restaurant and bar overlook the pool so the pool is only open 11am-7pm (so as not to disturb guests having breakfast and dinner). That timing was fine for us but some guests might expect the pool to be opened earlier or later.

Easy walk from the train station in Florence. Absolutely lovely pool (the main selling point for us). The room was spacious and really beautiful. An excellent weekend retreat. The restaurant seemed a little too quiet/fancy for my young children so we did not go there but the staff made some excellent dinner recommendations in the area which suited us very well. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to us and our children.

Shower doors leaking;. In-room turndown service was spotty and not up to standard in terms of replacing items like coffee pods, napkins, etc. Drapes not always closed

Staff was exceptional, friendly, and helpful. Beautiful lobby and hotel bar. Great breakfasts.

Breakfast offerings were plentiful, varied and fresh. The option to sit inside or in the outside area near the garden was a bonus. Table settings were clean and spacious. Available coffee to go table was appreciated.

Breakfast, concierge service/information is fantastic, attention to detail from guest relations and all staff is incredible. Location is centrical and easy to come into Florence, without being in the central area. Also, the piano music everyday was very pleasant. To be within 10 min by car in the center of Florence, is easy and confortable.

One minor thing - there was no hair conditioner included, only body wash and shampoo in the shower, so hair felt like straw after washing. (I am certain that, if asked, housekeeping would have solved this problem swiftly, but I wasn't about to stand the shower waiting for it!

Great customer service. There was genuine enthusiasm amongst the staff in every part of the hotel. We enjoyed well appointed rooms with excellent air-conditioning that didn't need any adjustment (unusually!). Bar and restaurant area is all open air overlooking the pool and the staff were quite flexible about providing service wherever we decided we wanted to eat. They managed dietary requests very well (loved the gluten free pasta!)

A very classy hotel. Rooms were a good size, we both had a balcony overlooking bushes and trees. The various lounge areas downstairs were quiet and well designed. I spent most of the break by the small pool within a beautiful garden. Cocktails before dinner and good tunes. 20 minute walk to the main attractions of Florence.

Breakfast with limited choices, no live cooking, they charge extra for omelets. Considering the amenities and Interior this hotel is extremely expensive.
