The common areas could use some updates, you can still sense the former grandeur, but there’s cracks in some walls, a janky old elevator etc Outside of breakfast, the food options are … questionable. We ordered a burrata salad at the pool and they brought some sliced mozzarella… we ordered a Caesar salad and it had honey mustard dressing

Beautiful location on the lake, walking distance to the anfiteatro/ music festival in town. Nice pool with a great view as well as direct access to the lake for swimming, plenty of lounge chairs

Beautiful hotel, amazing room and view from our suite. Pool was fabulous - bar prices a little expensive but you pay for the view & wonderful facilities. Fantastic location - the hotel is next door to the boat port so perfect for town hopping. Restaurants are all right next to the hotel - all within walking distance - ideal for children (we had a 4yr old with us) after a long day of being out and about. Local restaurants are really reasonably priced. You must try Nicholas Restaurant, it was a little expensive but the food was incredible, service amazing & a real highlight of our stay.

The bathrooms need updates. Also, too many dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel which creates a noise situation.

The location was ideal right on the lake front in a quite area. The facilities could use an update and some modernizations, but I enjoyed the historic character.

Parking as the hotel wanted to charge 20euros per night for their lot. To be fair the reception staff pointed us to a free car park which is 5 minutes away. Do be prepared when you arrive to see the side of the hotel that faces the road that doesn't look great. Once inside and lake side this really isn't a problem. We were also told by staff that in October the hotel will close for extensive renovations

Hotel is well located right by the lake, Our room was large modern with a very comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. The breakfast selection was excellent and there are lots of sun loungers to lay by the lake and go swimming. The hotel is right by the ferry terminal and we used the ferries extensively during our stay. Gardone Riveria has a good selection of excellent restaurants and bars. We also a couple of nights ate in nearby Salo which is larger and accessible by boat (15 mins) bus or car.

Some renovations of the hotel is required . Wi-fi isn‘t the best.

I very much enjoyed staying at the hotel and visiting this resort entirely. Lovely and pleasant atmosphere, helpful and caring personal of the hotel, amazing view at the lake from the balcony. Lived in a tower between two wings of the hotel . No complains , only on the weather , sometimes it rained. They cleaned up my room every day thoroughly. A wide assortment of different meals for the breakfasts, allowing to choose at your own taste. Going to visit your city and the hotel again. Wish you the best.

Some facilities and infrastructures need urgently to be renewed. Two electricity shutdowns during our stay for example. Only one lift available when two or three are needed.

The only think to be improved would be the coffee at breakfast which was from self service machines.

No kettle in room Restaurant menu wasn’t to our taste. Speaking to a few other guests they said the same. Luckily, some good restaurants in town. Perhaps the hotel should change menu as losing customers to outside venues Didn’t affect our stay.

A wee bit of entertainment at night would have been nice. Drinks were expensive.

The hotel had been closed and we thought had been refurbished which was no the case and it does need some refurbishment as is tired in places

Beautiful location right on the shores of Lake Garda One of the highlights was the direct lake access — being able to swim straight from the hotel into the clear waters of Lake Garda. The pool area was equally inviting, offering plenty of space to unwind with stunning views across the lake The hotel grounds are absolutely immaculate, with beautiful flowers and lush gardens that added to the sense of tranquillity

Somewhat dated, but utterly added to the charm!

Quirky, faded grandeur hotel on the sea front. Delightfully shabby around some of the edges, but like staying in a Wes Anderson movie. Attic room opened directly onto the lake.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room or room service. It would be lovely to see some old pictures of the hotel around the lobby, bar and restaurant area.

Its not intended bad, however the hotel is old (this is part of its uniqueness), to maintain this historical element, some areas could use updating. Otherwise yes, please keep this style and heritage going!

We seeked to live life on the lake the grand traditional way and choose this hotel. It is classical, cultural and maintains this reputation. Very much away from the tourist hustle, we enjoyed the tranquility and opportunity to be a part of it. Breakfast in abundance, staff always welcoming and accommodating to your needs (ie due to slight walking difficulty our room was re-located near an elevator). They stay provided everything that was expressed in the hotel description. We will return if an future opportunity arises. Remember if eating outside the hotel, you need to book in advance in local restaurants, so not to miss prime time or disappointment.
