Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalySome dishes from the plentiful food options fell a little short. The ski-in ski-out positioning wasn't as accessible as we had hoped, with the ski room being located at the very back of the hotel. This required a long hike in skiboots (holding kids skis) to the tail end of piste 66 and an even longer one to the Groste lifts. It would have been better if the ski room were on the other side of the hotel or if guests could walk through the lobby to reach the back instead of having to go around.
The hotel has a lovely ambiance, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and my children were pleased with the fast wifi. The food options were plentiful, and the dining room was beautiful, serving a lovely breakfast with good coffee. The scenery was gorgeous, and the ski-in ski-out positioning was a nice feature, even if not entirely as expected.

ItalyNeed to download an app to check services and book certain activities. Despite the timetable (as per the app), the shuttle service to the city centre was not always available (not mentioned on the app). However, the hotel is walking distance (c. 25min) to the centre. Bed could be changed as well as the old stained (but cleaned) carpet.
Perfect location right next to the ski slopes, close to Grosté. The view of the surrounding mountains is beautiful. Ski school and rental adjacent to the hotel as well. Handy shuttle service (when available). Spacious open parking available. Cozy room (daily cleaning) in a warm hotel including spa and swimming pool. Note of merit: incredibly friendly and attentive staff (hotel and restaurant) always ready to help. Delicious local cuisine at the restaurant for breakfast and half-board meals.

United StatesMy room smelled of cigar. It was awful. I told front desk at first they did not believe me, then they sent someone and they agreed it was awful. But I was not put in another room. The room was simply sprayed with something to try to neutralize the smell
The restaurant had good food

IrelandThe hotel is quite far out of Madonna, especially as it's uphill all the way there (it's about 100m from the Groste lift) There is a shuttle bus to and from the village but it stops running at about 7.30p.m. so if you decide to eat in the town you need to get a taxi back (€15-20 for what's a short drive) or walk (which takes about 30 minutes). Not quite ski in-ski out either: you have to pole across to a button lift which you need to take to an old two-man lift to get up to the slopes. Either that or walk to the Groste lift. Awkward access back to the hotel, again via the button lift. The hotel decor is a bit tired, but it is an old hotel. My room in particular wasn't great - I booked a single room, it felt dark and quite pokey and it had the smallest narrowest bed I've ever slept on! The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. My booking was B&B so I had breakfast there every day. It was ok. I ate dinner there on two nights with my friends who were half board. It cost €48 each time and I thought it was very average. There was a buffet of starters and three other average courses - I'd prefer one-two good courses rather than this.
The reception staff, especially Federico and Sabrina were fantastically helpful. The bathroom in my room was good, the shower was clean and effective. The rooms were well-serviced each day and towels were changed anytime you wanted.

PolandThe price of the hotel does not correspond to the existing quality at all. When it comes to food, very mediocre and poor quality products, small selection, stale bread, cold coffee, many products in their last shelf life, such as milk and yogurts. Unprofessional behaviour of waiters, chaos, lack of interest in guests. Hotel rooms worn out and not very clean. Room cleaning was limited to changing towels and throwing away trash. Even drinking water was not provided in the rooms. The declared standard definitely does not correspond to four stars in any respect.
The only advantage of this hotel is its good location.

IsraelIt is not Ski in ski out, as said in booking.com it is close to the ski slopes but you need to walk a lot not ski to and from the hotel. It is not 50m as written but 200m from the ski lifts. In the spa you have to pay for a robe and you only get 1 towel for 3 days !!
