How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A perfect location with an exceptional host, quick to respond via WhatsApp and incredibly knowledgeable. The price-to-quality ratio is among the best in Parma. Just a 4–5 minute walk to the historic center, yet situated in a remarkably quiet part of town. Highly recommended."

We had a nice stay at this accommodation. The room was exceptionally clean and thoughtfully equipped – including a coffee machine. The bathroom was modern and spotless, which we really appreciated. The location is very central yet surprisingly quiet. The owners or staff were incredibly friendly and helpful – they even assisted us with our luggage. We recommend this place. Overall, a great experience!

Strategically located near central Parma and close to many attractions and restaurants. The host was amazing, she was available throughout our stay and made so many great suggestions about where to visit and grab food as well. Overall a great stay, will definitely return.

Perfect location at the centre of Parma. Bars and cafes for breakfast around the corner. Room clean and cozy. Parking 8 minutes away from the place. Information about entrance and access very clear and easy to understand. Stairs a little small but ok. Fridge and coffee machine in the room Bathroom very clean with everything you need Night quiet an no noise from the street

No notice of 6 flights of narrow stairs to reach the room and I had two suitcases i had to lug up there. No notice that their parking really wasn't on site but rather some public parking lot 7 mins walk away. Many hotels do this where they say the have parking but really don't. It you have luggage it can really be an inconvenience. Frankly if I had know either as an older person with two large suitcases I would have not booked. Bed was a little on the firm side for me.
The place was well set up and had a good vibe and aesthetic. Very clean and well equipped room. Good location. Easy check in

The city tax was advertised as 1 eur per person per night. For one nights stay they wanted us to pay 5,15 eur city tax. Also you have to upload your personal information and documents to this shady website.

The property was charming, clean, and suited all our needs, we really liked its design. It is centrally located, there are many places near the apartment that you can enjoy. We loved the cookies we received as a gift from Sara the hostess. Sara was lovely, helped us with parking and explained to us where to go, how to get in and avoid ztl, gave us great recommendations about the city, and was there for anything we needed. There is a parking lot very close to the apartment, very convenient.

We booked 3 appartement for our family and everything was wonderful. The rooms are very comfortable and sights and restaurants are in walking distance. Thanks to our host for the clear and quick communication and the useful tips. We definitely recommend those appartement and would love to come again.
