Excellent accommodation in the city center for anyone who wants to experience the vibrancy (buzz) of Catania. Ideal for couples and friends who don’t mind sharing a double bed. The host is very kind, the instructions were very clear, and the apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture of leaving water and breakfast for the first morning. The cleanliness of the apartment is also impeccable. The location of the apartment is right in the heart of Catania, with bars, excellent restaurants, and nightlife just around the corner. The beautiful Piazza Scamacca is a 2-minute walk away, and I highly recommend it for dinner with good food, street performers, and music. Within a few minutes’ walk, there are also two grocery stores (one Italian and a Lidl) for essentials and budget-friendly meals. I also felt safe in this part of the city (which can be useful information for women or solo travelers). Considering that public transport in Catania can be confusing, if you want to take safe options and wait for buses/trains for your excursions at the main stations, both large stations are within a 15-minute walk, which I think is excellent. Overall, I was really satisfied with my stay. The host made us feel welcome, and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Catania!

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well. It was in a very central location, so we easily walked everywhere. We parked the car a few streets back. There are also free parking spaces available, but I parked in a private, guarded parking garage for €10 per day. The host, Giuseppe, was the most helpful and kind person I've ever met. He helped us with everything. If I come back, I would definitely stay here.

The stay was very pleasant and the host was exceptionally kind. The apartment is spacious and located in a peaceful area – I didn’t hear a sound from the street, even with the window open at night. The host made access and instructions very easy to follow. The apartment was tastefully decorated and beautiful. It was a truly enjoyable place to stay.

Extremely clean and spacious apartment, equipped with all the important things. We would like to highlight that the room overlooks a green raised garden, which is nice to look at. Fast and precise check-in, ready to help with everything immediately, the host who prepared a surprise breakfast for the first day was very kind! We would like to thank you again, we felt very good! We definitely recommend it to everyone! The apartment is close to everything in the city center, among historical houses, one street away from the most important attractions. The train and bus stations are a few minutes walk away. 10-point accommodation, where our heart will return! 🥰

Giuseppe went above and beyond to make my stay perfect, providing detailed instructions for entry and safety. He provided special touches such as breakfast supplies and a well equipped kitchen to use as needed. The room is decorated beautifully with Gustav Klimt artwork and was the quietest room I have stayed in in Sicily and with the most comfortable bed. It is located very close to all the central sites. I highly recommend staying at GL Golden City Apartments.

The walls could have been better, most of them had some scratches. In the shower there was a smell of the sink.

The location was really accessible, we were close to most of the catania must visit places. The owner was really kind and responsive. A/c was really great, even though the area is little noisy, if we closed the window it was quiet.

We arrived at night, so the entrance was dark and a bit scary, but we were impressed that they had prepared water and breakfast for us, even though we checked in late at night. They informed us in advance about how to check in, which made the process smooth. It was very reasonably priced and clean, with easy access to the centre. It was a lovely stay!

The main entrance door is a bit heavy so it makes a loud noise when it closes, this is for the more sensible ones. Otherwise you have the usual traffic on the street, but it's still acceptable, and still good having the fact that you are in the city center.

I am very pleased with the accommodation we had. Well positioned and has easy acces. Also, Giuseppe was very nice and a helpful host, we are very thankful for him! For what we needed it was the perfect place to stay. I highly recommend it!

All is perfect.

The apartment is in the perfect location for everything - short walk to the Duomo, the colorful umbrellas, Via Crociferi, Stesicoro, Roman theater, Castle, everything. It's almost on the main shopping street, many restaurants and bars nearby. It's clean, bright and charming. Very spacious with place even for traditional Sicilian decorations. It even has a small balcony for morning coffee. The host is very kind and helpful. If we visit again, will definitely stay at the same apartment. Thank you!

The room was lovely and spacious and well equipped for our overnight stay. The host was very courteous and kind. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and he had taken the trouble to buy us some water and breakfast provisions for the next day. He was very good at communicating and responded quicky to any queries. The check in process was very smooth. Great location for getting some food late at night too as there were plenty of restaurants. We would definitely stay again..

The host is very friendly, polite and responsive. The place is close to all the historical sites and eateries in the old district . Although the area downstairs is a little smelly because it's close to a garbage collection point, the rest from the staircase onwards is tidy and stylish. The iinterior of the apartment is relatively new, very neat, adorably adorned and well-equiped. The host even provided snacks and breakfast cereal! Our room faces the side street and is very well soundproof from the weekend bustle on the main street! Also, the cleaning lady did a great job. Everything perfect for a very competitive price! thank you for giving such a great start to our trip!

The kitchenette work area was small so any serious cooking would be a bit difficult . The fridge is a bit noisy though the flat itself (flat 3)is less exposed to traffic noise than the average apartment in Catania ( a noisy city full of motorbikes scooters etc)

Clean tidy and bright apartment with a good sized shower and toilet room with heated towel rail .essential breakfast supplies ( continental) and well thought out facilities for a traveller to Sicily. It felt very secure. Owner greeted us and helped with our cases. Giuseppe was very pleasant and it is clear he considers his guests needs and is keen to provide a good service . A likeable genuine person. Microwave hot plate and fridge provided and all essential cooking utensils.

Right in the centro storico. Nice bathtub in the room, big tv, balcony. Very hospitable, clear communication. We arrived at 12:30am after a late flight and they even left us some snacks in the room since the shops would be closed. Very kind and also let us leave our luggage for the afternoon after checking out.

Location is great, host is very communicative and is willing to help in any way. Only had a short overnight stay, so it was great to be nearby all the main attractions. Secure paid parking nearby for those staying with a car.
