How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The mattress could be better
Maurizio from the Guest House was super nice and super helpful. The Guest House was also super well situated.

There has been a bit of water ingress by the window. It did not bother us but it should probably get seen to at some point to make sure the stonework stays ok.
The beds were comfortable. En suite bathroom. Air con. Communal reading room with table and fridge. Communal terrace. View to il Duomo. Easy check in and check out. Accommodated our early arrival.

shower leaks through the sealant in the green room, bed dips in the middle as the mattress is just on a frame without supports, but it wasn’t a problem as we were only there 1 night
15 min walk from san giovanni train station, staff is very helpful & friendly, air conditioning was great, balcony is a nice touch

The bathroom would sometimes have a strange smell. I think it was coming from the water from the shower
Very close to the train station, ferry, and restaurants and shopping. Had AC which was a big plus. Comfortable beds and plenty of room. Clean room and bathroom.

The location on google map is not correct
Its near the small train Station and near bar victoria,the como lake is just 8 minutes walk from there..its the the building number 5 not 3.

I received a lot of messages very frequently and repeatedly saying no check in after 9pm what so ever since I booked the room. And they have no exception for that. So better plan the day accordingly.
We got an upgrade to a superior room. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfy. Location close to the lake, although there was no view to the room we stayed

No lift, you have to carry your luggage to high second floor
Wonderful apart hotel in the centre of Como. We have lived into separate building. A lot of space in the room, comfortable bed, modern bath equipment. Stable WiFi. Indeed, the room is better, than you can see on photos. Excellent location. There is a cooler with drink water in holl.

There were no trash cans in the common area toilet. Otherwise, its a good short stay in Como and you can’t really fault the property because its as described in the posting. Will recommend for couples.
The location is really close to lago como station and como verdi bus stop. Its also a couple minutes walk to the ferry station to Bellagio / Varenna etc. Spacious room.

There are two buildings, so we had to collect the keys and then go to another building, which is a bit annoying.
Nothing special. For one night It was OK. Beautiful location, but it was raining, so we couldn't explore that much really.

Outdoor deck was in need of some love and attention

From unusual - shower cabin right in the room, and a separate toilet for two rooms. But it was not a problem.
Great location of the hotel! The room was comfortable enough: air conditioner, TV, hairdryer, we took an iron in the room.

Rather basic facility, but perfectly situated, next to the old town, with airco and parking slots (extra fee), it's OK for a short stay to discover Como and its surroundings.

The fridge was shared among several residents, which wasn't very convenient.
The bed was comfortable, the room spacious and clean with a beautiful view from the window. The location was convenient, and the staff kindly allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout.

No complaints.
Great place to stay for one night in Como. The check-in experience was a breeze and we were guided to our parking spot by a lovely member of staff. The room was exactly what we needed with a balcony. The lake and all main spots in the town are very easily accessible by foot. Checking out was a piece of cake too. Great value for money.
