How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe room was very bright and cozy, with a beautiful view of the mountains from the windows. Parking was free and there was always space available. On the day of our arrival, the staff member kindly waited for us late in the evening and was very friendly.
The room had a stove and sink but no dishes or cleaning supplies at all. When we asked for cookware, it was provided rather reluctantly. There was no air conditioning or even a fan, which was very uncomfortable as the room was hot and stuffy. At night, opening the window to cool down let in many insects, which was unpleasant. The staff did not speak English, which made communication difficult. Breakfast was very limited and not replenished - when we arrived half an hour before the end, there was almost nothing left.

The room is equipped with a few kitchen utensils, but these are primarily intended for families with small children, so they can prepare something for themselves outside of mealtimes. Your booking was for a room with breakfast, not an apartment. Unfortunately, we do not have air conditioning in the rooms, otherwise, we would have indicated this in our equipment. It is not usual for a 3-star hotel in our latitudes. May will likely change in the next few years. Sorry, but it can happen at the breakfast buffet that something is limited. But you could ask. Verified reviewLiked the location (important to have a car as there is a 1.5km uphill from the city) as a lot of places are accessible from there. Clean.. good breakfast..
The room had no airconditioning (we where in the attic). Being the end of June there a breeze during the night so we opened the window but I cannot imagine the heat in the middle of Summer. I do not know if they are going to install an ac but should ask before booking.

Verified reviewVery nice, clean and spacious room with balcony overlooking the valley. So nice people! Both ladies very extremely charming and helpful. At the end I injured my leg during skiing and both were very kind and empathic. Very good thin pizzas!!
I would only suggest adding some basic pots and pans in the room since there is already the stove :)

Verified reviewIt was a very nice hotel with a helpfull staff. The breakfast was nice and the pizzas excellent. The location was also excellent, a 15 - 20 minutes walk to the centre of Brixen. And you get a free pass for the public transport for the duration of your stay, so if you dont want to wall you can take the bus which stops in front of the hotel. Very handy :)

Verified reviewThe staff was very responsible. We delayed the check-in time. She was still waiting for us and enthusiastically helped us check in and inform the breakfast time. The room is comfortable and spacious.
I don't know if there are bugs on the bed or something. I have a lot of red bags bitten by bugs.We went a little late. There was not much left for breakfast, and the coffee machine couldn't make hot milk.

Verified reviewThe rooms are comfortable. But there are no kettle/coffee station in the rooms. And no other facilities either. The restaurant was closed when we were there (I would have expected them to notify us about those when making the booking). There were no other facilities nearby, and we needed to take the bus to town for everything. The bus stop is close, but the bus only runs once every hour.
The room was okay. But with the restaurant being closed, there are no other facilities available to use. Not even a water cooker. I would have expected to be notified of the restaurant closure for their 2 week summer holiday when making the booking. The breakfast was poor- small selection and fruit was even a bit off.
We're a little surprised. An electric kettle is available on request at any time. Nearby (200 mt) walkway is Pizzeria Waldheim. With only 2 days stay, it is a good idea to have dinner there once and maybe take the bus to the city on the second evening. Bus stop in front of the house ticket free of charge from us. Just 5 minutes drive to the next stop and you had a nice evening in Brixen. Sorry for you.

Verified reviewThe room was amazingly comfortable, beautiful wooden interior. Restaurant offered good dinner and excellent breakfast! We were given a 3-day Brixen card that gave us access to the buses and museums!
Bit of a hike to get to town but the bus comes every hour so plan your trip into town. Rather expensive but I think you won't find much cheaper for what you get.
