Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation, at night felt unsafe.
Location is within walking distance of the central train station and the Alibus from the airport, we did feel slightly unsafe arriving at night, the area does have many men just hanging about the streets and the police are very visible. We stayed in the court yard that was quiet if you get a room on the front this will be a lot noisier. Breakfast is very basic and could be better, but did serve great coffee, worth selecting room only and eat out as we found Naples to be very reasonable in price for eating out. Room was small and clean with good aircon. No English channels to on the TV. Good shower. Restaurant in the area are very reasonable priced and serve great pizza.

PolandQuite a lot. The room advertised versus what we got was very different. Quite misleading tbh. My friends and I did not feel safe.. on our first day early in the morning someone proceeded to put the key and open the door while we were sleeping inside. Room itself was not very clean, we didn't have any amenities in the room and had to constantly ask the staff for everything which we got after such delay. Definitely overpriced.
The person at the breakfast area was nice and friendly.

United StatesIt was not in a great location. There was no coffee in the room, you had to pay for it. But there was a kettle and sugar. The batteries were dead in the tv remote, we told the front desk, he said he would be up in 10 mins but never came. He booked a taxi for us at 6am when we went down to check out none was there. We didn’t know what to do with the key for the room, it was an actual key not a key card. There was no drop box and no instructions. If you are only staying here because of an early flight. Stay close to the airport. This is not a safe location. It is very close to the train station but there is trash everywhere.
Had enough beds for a family snd booked a taxi for us

United KingdomThe hotel itself it disgusting. Its very very dirty, with mould in the bathrooms and broken fixtures. The aircon unit must be 20 years old and it rattles and the balcony, nearly falling off its bolt. Breakfast is disgusting, just like the filthy hotel. I wouldn't ever stay here again. The area is also terrible!!
The staff were very friendly. The guy at check in was very nice and polite and the guy at breakfast was polite.

United KingdomWiFi only worked after 11:30 at night, likely when others logged off. Despite telling staff that WiFi and TV did not work and saying they would come to room to resolve they didn't.

GreeceThe location was central but not the best to stay in Naples. Very noisy and no insulation to protect the room. Was like sleeping on the street in terms of noise. They cancelled our first reservation without any legit reason leaving us without a room. They never answered our messages through booking.com. Overall the room was pricy for what they offer and not value for money.
Decent breakfast. The guy at the breakfast was very polite and helpful.

PortugalIn addition to not actually staying at the hotel we were booked for, we were taken to a different hotel through an alley onto a Main Street that had a lot of loud traffic. We believe we were double charged because we think booking.com also charged us for this reservation but I don’t have time to check my reservations to see right now.
Nothing.. we didn’t actually stay at the property advertised. They took us through an alley to a Main Street that was very loud and put us in a room in a different building.
