Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaThe beds were comfortable, but instead of duvets, only sheets were provided for covering. There were blankets available in the wardrobe, but unfortunately, there were no duvet covers. While the weather was warm, I am used to sleeping with a duvet, and for hygiene reasons, I prefer not to use a blanket without a cover. Our room was located next to the kitchen, so we could clearly hear when breakfast preparations started in the morning.
The room was clean and tidy, and it looked like it had been recently renovated. The furniture and bathroom fixtures were new and in excellent condition. The room was practically and comfortably furnished. Breakfast was delicious. There was a wide selection of cold snacks, and you could also order hot dishes from the menu, such as various omelettes, crepes and more. The room had air conditioning with an adjustable temperature setting, which was a big plus.

Greecethe location is not the best as there are hundreds of hotels closer to points of interest, check if it suits your needs. there are a lot of bees outside during breakfast (just saying) obviously being an old villa, the room is outdated, the bathroom is oldish, the AC is not working like the modern ones.
quiet & green location, old-time nice & charming villa, premium personalised breakfast, the price is absolutely fine for the season, mini fridge a nice addition, a very good and unique option

Everything was perfect, staff was amazing and the room as well. The breakfast was super good and very high quality. Location is in a very calm spot, not so far away from the main touristic areas. Staff gave us some very great recommendation for the rest of our trip in Italy which is very kind from them. Would not hesistate to go back !!

United StatesThe only downside was the number of steep steps you have to climb to get to the lobby and descend to get down to the room. It was tough with heavy luggage but the staff helped us.
This property is very pretty. It appears to have been a private residence that was converted into a boutique hotel in a beautiful neighborhood in Rome. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent!

United KingdomYou probably know that it is not very central, either walking about 30 min or taking a taxi. But it wasn’t a problem as we were booking next to Teatro alla Musica where had a concert booked one night. What I really disliked is when enquired about Uber opportunity from Rome Termini to the hotel, they proposed instead their transfer for 65 euro cash paying at the reception. Another day by counter this taxi costed 16 euro. Please , do not treat us as stupid tourists. As we were having really a nice stay but there is bad aftertaste after that proposal of 65 euro.
The hotel itself is magic indeed, lots of green in the garden, tables in the shadow where you either have breakfast or having apperitivo in the evening. Not to mention breakfast - very generous, with lots of variety including fruits, freshly made cakes, omelets and lots of other nice things. All fresh and good quality. The room is very comfortable, just can be a bit noisy depending who is your neighbor.

RomaniaIf we had to mention one downside, it would be the location, as it’s a bit far from the city center. However, this actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise! Walking around led us to discover some beautiful streets and fantastic local restaurants we probably wouldn’t have found otherwise.
We had an absolutely amazing stay in Rome. The room was clean, spacious and beautifully maintained-perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The service overall was top-notch. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast—delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety of options to choose from every morning. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to each day. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome- we would definitely stay here again!

Breackfast in the quiet garden was a very good start for the day. Also the staff was very suportive with advices and making reservations to the restaurants. We had an early check out and they prepared a small breackfast to go for us.

SerbiaLocation. This was my first time in Rome, so i didn't know where to book a hotel, and read many comments how location is great and it's a walkable distance from every atraction, etc...Walkable maybe for marathon sprinters, i am a sportist myself and it wasn't comfort for me to walk to Spagna and center at 35c, not to mention Vatican or Trestevere, they are like time zone far. So it's not a location for recommend, you will need to take a taxi very single time you go anywhere, there is no metro close (closest metro station is Piazza Popollo, like 2km from hotel), bus lines 52 and 982 are always late and crowded...
This is a small hotel operated by a group of very nice, polite and professional ladies! Breakfast is amazing, many choices, everything is carefully prepared, coffee is great! Garden in front of hotel means lot, it is very cozy to chill there especially at evening when you are back from exploring Rome.

IrelandThe location of this hotel isn’t ideal if your ambition is ready access to central Rome and the Vatican. In addition, Rome’s public transport is unreliable apart from the metro. However, it is situated immediately adjacent to theBorghese gardens which is a beautiful location for an early walk on a summers morning! To get to the Piazza Del Popolo is about 35 minutes walk. The metro is dependable , but requires a 20 min walk to a bus which brings you to a metro.
Breakfast was beautiful, taken outside the hotel in the morning sunlight. The food was excellent. The gentle and courteous staff were most helpful

GreeceOne drawback, which is unrelated to the hotel itself, is the difficulty of navigating public transport. Buses often do not arrive as expected, making it necessary to rely on taxis. However, if the weather is nice, you can walk to the city center in 15 to 30 minutes.
The location was peaceful, featuring a lush green courtyard and spacious rooms with stunning balconies overlooking the garden. The breakfast was enjoyable, but the buffet offered a limited selection of options.

United StatesThe neighborhood, while beautiful, was more residential. This makes for a quiet and peaceful stay, but be aware it's a good walk to the classic tourist destinations. That said, the National Gallery of Modern Art and Borghese Park are very close and amazing to visit. The Parioli neighborhood is beautiful and posh, but it lacks the instant access to coffee bars, street food and shopping that other Rome neighborhoods have. It's not really a drawback for me, but more of something for other guests to be aware of.
Beautiful grounds, reception/dining area and rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was extremely clean and housekeeping did an outstanding job every day. The bathroom was modern and everything worked well. The breakfast was generous and delicious.
