How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was great, the room very big and comfortable. Breakfast could be better, more vegan options. The hotel is nice but it will soon need some renovation according to the standard and prices.

They couldnt find our second room reservation we had to wait at reception. Also couldnt receive invoice from reception. Stuff directed me to booking which is wrong.Very basic hotel with very old furnuture.
Very central location just behind the Piazzo Duomo.

We didn't get the rooms that we had booked (2 dob. rooms with separate beds). They gave us 2 dob. rooms with 1 big bed. We got that changed to 1 dob. room with separate beds and 2 single rooms. When we checked-out we were charged 5 euro's for city tax for 1 room? For a 4-star hotel I think the rooms needs an update. Everything was a little worn out, so not what we had expected for the price we paid.
The location of the hotel is perfect and the breakfast is good.

Hotel and room was outdated (old). Bathroom taps were old and hard to use. Shower splashed water everywhere in the bathroom, floor completely wet. It did not feel like a 4 star hotel as stated. Only one powerpoint I could use to charge my electronics (far away from bedside table).
location was outstanding. Right in the center of Milan near the Duomo. Housekeeping was friendly and room was clean and very spacious. Close to shops, restaurants and near a metro station. Breakfast was simple but ok.

Great location within a short walk of Milan Cathedral. Great transport links with rest of city and airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was clean and spacious with 2 3/4 size beds. Beds were comfortable and room had effective air conditioning. Breakfast was included and there was a good range of hot and cold food. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within a short walk and hotel also serves dinner 7pm to 10pm most nights. It is an older hotel but very comfortable and well maintained.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Decor is a bit dated.
Good central location, handy for Piazza del Duomo and attractions, Metro, shops and restaurants. Room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast options and service. Priced very reasonably for the location and facilities.

We didn't like the fact that we couldn't serve ourselves breakfast from the buffet. With the language difference it was just a complication. Our first day in Milan and I didn't know how to ask for cold milk on the side. Got a jug of hot froth. I know how to say it now🤣 I wish staff had told us the quicker way to Duomo through side door of hotel on our first day instead of the last as it would have made our walk in pouring rain so much easier and quicker.
The proximity to the attractions and just a short walk from the rail station. Breakfast included was good. Everything was clean and staff were friendly. Complimentary umbrella for the rainy day was so appreciated.
