How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The wifi was a little spotty in my room but nothing moving to the breakfast area didn't fix.
Andrea is a great host and gave a great restaurant recommendation which was top. The room is clean, simple and comfortable. The breakfast is a nice variety and beyond just the packaged biscuits. The location is right behind the train station so convenient for your buses or trains. AC was nice and cold in the summer heat.

Nice place for solo trips. If you come to Bergamo for a few days, this place could be perfect. Small bed for one person. Private bathroom. Not far from the train station, quiet and nice neighborhood. Just don't take the room near to parking spots. Cars can be annoying, especially when you are trying to sleep)

No other spread like marmelade, how about some cream cheese or butter

Located on the opposite side of the train line to the city center, when walking from the city center you travel through an underground tunnel/pass below the train line, wouldn't recommend for any single females, doesn't feel all that safe at night.
Very clean, easy check in with staff.

Really liked the location. The train station is really close and it was important for me when I booked the room. The breakfast was good and I got a lot of recommendation about what should I check in the city and where should I eat. :)

Although the staff were very patient and waited for us, it would be good if they extend the check-in times explicitly because the delays through passport control at the airport are really bad and not something a guest can control. They kept calling me, obviously getting impatient, so I felt quite bad.
Very friendly staff, great location close to the train station. Clean and comfortable place. Great size room with a fridge.

Everything was fine.
The hotel is very comfortable and clean. I traveled by bike and I could secure it easily. It is 2 min from the station which is very convenient too. I got some great tips for the visit of the upper city.

Andrea was very kind and met us at 1 a.m. from a late night. Very clean, air conditioned and cosy room. A 5 minute's walk from the railway station.

room was on the ground floor, with poor soundproofing, and it was very cold despite the air conditioner set to warming at +21 degrees C - it didn't help when it was 8C outside. Breakfast options seem limited (I guess there is no omelet) but it's fine for the price!
Good value for money, convenient location near the train station and bus stop, supermarket at the train station, comfy bed, clean large room, a free bottle of water in the room. A kettle for tea and a coffee machine are available in the common area. Friendly owner. I spent there one night before my early morning flight from Bergamo airport, so I checked out really early and didn't experience the proper breakfast but was shown that I can take yogurt/fruit/water from the fridge.

Just a tiny gripe but internet was not good in my particular room although it was excellent from reception.
spacious room, lovely welcome, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, quiet, amazingly close to railway station but no noise from it, secure and close to restaurants.

Walls were a bit thin so you could hear everything going on. Orher than that absolutely perfect
Location was perfect and the owner was amazing, helped out with were to go and what to do. Also a really nice breakfast.

Tiles in the bathroom could be cleaned 🙊
Staff was comunicating with us all the time, waited til we come. We got not only breakfast early ,but some snacks in the evening if we wanted. Beds very comfortable. Parking place for the car. Just perfect place to stay,so near the airport 👌
