Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAll perfect
(Continued) A selection of artisanal teas and refreshing waters was also provided, much appreciated. We opted for the breakfast option, and once again, you surpassed all expectations. Coffee was freshly prepared to order and tasted heavenly; porridge and an abundant array of sweet and savory dishes, juices, and teas complemented the meal beautifully. As health-conscious travellers, we were especially pleased with the variety and exceptional quality — particularly the black bread, which we highly recommend. Your generous spirit extended further: when we asked for help, you kindly let us use your kitchen to prepare our CamelBaks and graciously stored our luggage for several days while we climbed Monte Rosa. The location also proved conveniently accessible — using the frequent local bus service to the nearby stop “Fohre” made mobility effortless even without a car. Thank you once again, dear hosts, for an experience that felt profoundly special — one we will cherish always. We look forward to returning one day, perhaps with our entire family in tow. With heartfelt gratitude and warmest regards, Paulina & Luis

United KingdomAll beyond perfect
Dear Hosts We are deeply thankful for the remarkable hospitality you extended during our stay. From the very first moment, we felt as though we were welcomed into a beloved family home — your kindness and charm were immediately apparent. Our room was generous in size and beautifully appointed. Through one balcony — and even from the bathroom window — we were treated to an unobstructed, breathtaking view of Monte Rosa in all its splendor: rosy at dawn, brilliant by day, and majestic beneath the starry night. From the second balcony, the gentle murmur of a nearby waterfall created an ambiance of peaceful tranquility. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable — spotless in every detail, far surpassing even the highest standards we have encountered at 5‑star hotels. Not a single hair or speck of dust could be found, which was remarkable given the room’s generous proportions. As passionate devotees of comfort, we especially appreciated the sumptuous bed — lovely and supportive, and paired with pillows of a quality beyond anything we have found elsewhere. Without exaggeration, we had the most restorative night’s sleep in years. In the bathroom, we discovered artisanal toiletries crafted in the valley: their scent surpassed that of the finest spa products and felt truly luxurious on the skin. The thoughtful inclusion of a tooth-brushing kit and a small clothing repair set did not go unnoticed and was most considerate. The décor deserves special praise: this was, without doubt, the most artfully designed, luxurious, and cozy mountain room we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Every detail — from the beautiful real wood accents to the harmonious aesthetic of the décor — was elegant, genuine, and local in character. Next to the bed, we found a delightful basket with beautifully illustrated magazines, including one identifying the multiple peaks of Monte Rosa visible from our window — a charming and informative touch. United KingdomThe owners were very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to help in any way they could (lending us what we needed to do our washing and giving us a lift to the beginning of our walk in the morning). The breakfast was the best one we had during our holiday. The hotel felt homely and comfortable.

United KingdomNeeded more snow to see the resort at it's best, but the winter in most of Europe has been warm and dry. The road to drive up from the Autostrada was quite long and very narrow and twisty in places. OK this year, but could be a challenge if the road was covered in snow and ice. Didn't find any 'great' places to eat in the evenings. Thought there would have been more choice. Best option appeared to be to go to one of the hotels in the resort.
Excellent breakfast at our lodge with good variety and excellent quality cereals, fruit, yoghurt, croissant, meats, cheese etc.

United KingdomNot a problem for us, but the quiet location means having a car is helpful (there is a bus service though!).
This is a real gem - not only are the rooms beautifully finished and comfortable, but the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was the best we had anywhere during a month on the road in the Alps! We loved the peace and quiet of the location and Gressoney is part of a fantastic ski area with unrivalled scenery.
