Our host gave us a warm welcome and shared great tips on must-see spots and the best places to eat. We truly enjoyed our stay and now have a favorite host in Florence!

Location of the house was good and helpful for us and it was so clean too. We walked many places around 15-20 minutes. Fortunately market, bakery and restaurants we so close. Alberto helped us a lot, we thanked pretty much him again. We enjoyed and had really good time in that place.

We loved staying in such a historic building, but we never had a warm shower. Maybe we did not know how to navigate the shower control, but we tried every which way to obtain warm water. We visited in the summer, so it was not a big deal.

It was clean and roomy. Very comfortable. It had air conditioning, if needed. It was within walking distance of all the major attractions of Florence. We loved the floor length windows to have open, and when closed they drowned out the noisy street at night.

Air-conditioning should be improved. The house is huge and there's just one AC. It gets hot at times at night, especially when you're sleeping since the bed is not close to the AC. There is a bed-side fan but it doesn't cut it. Also the AC stops working if you keep it below 20 degrees celsius for more than an hour or so. Means you can't keep it at 16 in summer. This is definitely and area of improvement that the host should look at.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This property is within touching distance of the Duomo and pretty much central to everything a tourist will want to do on their trip. It was my first trip to Florence and the location was top quality. Even the apartment is well furnished, spacious and comfortable. Easy to locate and enter. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby as you can imagine being so close to the Duomo. Convenience of location allowed us to come home to chill in between a day of sight seeing since we were almost always within a 10 mins walk from any tourist activity. I will love to come back here. Big plus is that the apartment is HUGE. Perfect for a couple. No more since there's just one comfy bed. I wouldn't travel here with kids since bedroom is on the mezzanine + no privacy from kids since it's one studio.

I really don’t have any negative comments. Aside from when renting from him he has more than one rental. So be sure you are reserving the correct apartment.

The apartment gave the feeling of living life as an Italian. It is an older building/ apt with lots of history and charm. It has all you need to cook and relax. We always felt safe. There is a grocery a few doors down. We took advantage of that had made dinner 2 nights. It was fabulous. Mr Galante cares about his visitors and is always available for communication. He reminds me of my dad. That definitely made me smile. So caring and kind.

They need to sound proof the windows, it was incredibly loud. The location of the apartment we had by the Duomo was terrific, but you hear everything given it's popularity until 1-2am and the windows aren't sound proof... Everything else was nice.

Not a dislike so much but just be aware that second bedroom is accessible by narrow spiral staircase. The loft bedroom is very roomy though. Also, key entrance to apartment was tricky for us on first use. I had not used old key before. Just ask management to show you how to use and try it with management up front. Easy once you know how to angle key.

It was spacious and had separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. Also, had separate living area and separate kitchen with washing machine and separate dining area. Enough room for large drying rack which was provided an helpful. I liked two pitchers of chilled water in the refrigerator when we arrived. In March, room temp was perfect. Did not need to adjust. WiFi worked very well. Wooden window shutters act as blackout curtains but let in flood of light when open and not much noise.

Ideally located to the Duomo. Apartment was spotlessly clean. Everything that you needed was there. Handover was very concise and informative. Number left with us so that if there were any problems we could get hold of our host, but there was no need. Felt very safe there.

The shower head is on a hose and you can't effectively mount it without getting water everywhere outside of the shower. The toilet sometimes doesn't flush effectively either, which just means you may have to flush three or four times to get all of your business out of there. Note that after September, they may not want you to use the air conditioner. Lastly, make sure you have ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The inter-apartment sound proofing seems sound, but the large windows let in a lot of sound and there's a lot going on on the streets in Florence until about midnight and starting at about 5-6am. Ultimately, these are minor details and overall it was great.

The apartment is spacious, clean, and cute. More than anything, it's location, location, location! There's a great gelato place just out the door, the Duomo isn't 100 yards away, and most other sites are also easily within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and there was a washer (use the quick cycle!), drying rack, and iron. Everything that we used worked well.

Wifi wasn’t great but that’s Europe. Also water pressure in shower was not reliable. All manageable. These things happen in Europe.

It was easy to communicate with staff. The rooms were clean. There was a washing machine for clothes. Open doors for fresh air. Location was perfect. Small mini mart two doors away. Farms is very close. Little cafe for breakfast nearby. Dining options with great prices nearby.

The only 2 things that might need looking at: 1) sometimes the shower doesn't work. But if you leave it a few minutes and come back, it will work. I'm guessing it may run on a tank. When it runs though it's fine. 2) the main door to the building doesn't always lock, and the green light stays on, most of the time when we arrived we just had to push it. Not a problem as the door to our apartment was very strong and secure so it didn't affect our stay, just thought the hosts might want to know for security.

The location of our apartment was perfect, right in the centre and near everything we wanted to see. The balcony was a plus and had excellent views. Alberto and Francesco were probably the best hosts I've had through booking.com, Alberto's advice and instructions were very useful and everything went smoothly. Francesco met us at the apartment earlier than planned as it was raining when we arrived in Florence and he thought we'd need to get out of the rain with our luggage which was super thoughtful. Thank you both for an incredible stay, we loved Florence and will definitely visit again - and we will stay at your apartment again.

The cutest little apartment in a great location. You will be happy to have the lift after a long day. This place had anything we could need: laundry soap, dish soap, etc. A/C worked well. We stayed with 2 children so they set up the living room as the second bedroom but there was still room at the table to eat breakfast. Convenient to a little cafe for morning breakfast, good restaurant right below.

Prefer to have an additional bed instead of the sleeper sofa. For American citizens, television options in English would have been helpful.

The only complaint is in the representation of the properties on the Booking.com website. The property manager/owner has several apartments in Florence and the links don't always show the location of the apartment you think you are booking. So - before confirming or formally booking the space, make sure you confirm the exact location of the property. This unit was NOT in the location described on the link - so we did not end up in the neighborhood we wanted, but where we did end up was a very nice neighborhood with good amenities.

The apartment was spacious with two nice bedrooms (one of which is access through a spiral staircase) and two full bathrooms with stand-up showers. The kitchen is well stocked with a nice sized refrigerator. A washing machine is also available in the kitchen. The apartment is directly next door to a nicely stocked market and across from a Cafe.
