Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomProperty was on the fifth floor. Lift only went to fourth floor so you had to take stairs to the fifth. There was then a door and a couple of more steps out onto a terrace which then gave you access to the flat. Access would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
The location was excellent. Right in the heart of Milan across the rode from the cathedral.

United Arab EmiratesOn my first day, the AC was not working and even the electric fans were not working. I was not able to sleep. The host came the next day in the morning to fix it, but he didn’t tell me he was gonna come back in the afternoon. I was sleeping and woke up shocked and scared that there was a man in the living area. It was a stressful two days for me and for the amount I paid, it’s not worth it.
The apartment is very spacious and in a perfect location of Duomo’s neighborhood. Very close to the metro, to Duomo and to shops. There’s even a Spontini in the same building.

SwitzerlandWhen your taxi driver drops you at the indicated address, you have to get the key at a Bar (well only 20 m away) and then you have to cross the street for the room which is in another building. Price a little bit high. TV has only Italian speaking satellite channels - and this in a tourist hotspot!!! If you want to store your luggage you can do that for 5 Euros per piece in a nearby Bar.
Very clean and spacious room. Helpful owner. 2 minutes walk to Duomo.

AustraliaWe asked for 2 beds made up in our original message as we are friends travelling, however only the one bed was made. There was linen there, so I made up the single sofa bed. It was very basic - not even a tea towel.
It was great location at the Duomo. We were only there for 2 nights, but easy to get around. The apartment was large, with a quirky layout. The bed and sofa bed was comfortable for 2 nights. The coffee machine was a good touch.

United StatesLocation is on a busy area. Trams, vehicles pass by, heavy foot traffic in front of the apartment complex makes it too noisy. Too difficult to get sleep at night, or rest during the day.
The owner was very kind, attentive to our needs. Location is steps away to Duomo and plenty of restaurants and shopping. Apartment is spacious and clean.
