Although I needed to stay close to the station, it was the very same location that I didn’t like. Dodgy people camp out by the train station (as it happens in many Italian cities, something I had forgotten about), and I did not feel safe as a female solo traveller. I know the hotel has no control over their “neighbours”, but it is something worth noting.

I had a single bedroom, very clean, refurbished, overall nice, great bathroom. Close enough to a beautiful city center.

Nice hotel. Quite good location - needs some walking to get to the center. The staff were helpful. The room was comfortable, except the bathroom, with very good air-condition. There is a large garage for card and bike, though we couldn't charge our ebikes there.

Nothing - it was all good.

We were pleasantly surprised by our room which was spotlessly clean, and recently refurbished (as almost all the rooms have been now). It had everything you needed including soap, shower gel, a fridge, air conditioning and a small safe for valuables. There were rolling shutters which blacked out the room and it was quiet (we were facing into the inner courtyard). The staff were welcoming and helpful. It was a few steps away from the station and 5-10 minutes walk to the centre.

Strange arrangement of rooms . We were on 5th floor via a separate lift. No water left in the room. No parking available. We had to search in the crowded streets each evening.

Conveniently situated near the railway station. Smallish bathroom but adequate. Fresh towels each day. Good breakfast - same each day.

When you consider the price/performance ratio, the breakfast seemed good enough but could be improved. For example, a few types of cheese, scrambled eggs and some vegetables such as tomatoes can be added.

There was no kettle in the room, really needed on cold days/nights. There was a strong smell of sewage sometimes.

The hotel was a stones throw from Pavia station and a few minutes walk into the main centre. Close to shops, restaurants, and cafes. Also, beautiful patisserie opposite and a laundrette. The hotel and the room were spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Walls to thin so you hear literally everything and I have been woken up in the middle of the night by other people who arrived in the room next to mine one. I didn’t like also the fact that you were given a unique code to join the free WiFi, which last just 24 hours. So, every day, you have to go at the reception and ask for a new code.

Very big and comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and cleaned. Room service impeccable. Nice location attached to the train station, not too far away by walk from the city centre as well. So it is recommended for travellers.

The room rate on the price list at the hotel is really more expensive than the price on Booking. We believe it was overpriced. The hotel was closing for their summer break from the day after our arrival and they were not able to keep our luggage after checkout and we would have preferred to be notified about it in advance. The area around the station can be dodgy at night. In one day we met 5 different staff members at the reception.

The room we got assigned was recently renovated.
