1 - There was no place enough to hang our beach clothes to dry. 2 - There is no parking available - but even in August (last week of the month) we had no issues in finding free slots nearby to the hotel. 3 - At breakfast they could cover the food better, there were always flies and bees in some of the food.

1- Definitely: THE STAFF! All three receptionists were amazing! We've never been so warmly welcomed / supported as we were at the Hotel Excelsior! 2 - The view from the breakfast terrace is very nice. 3 - Cleanness of the bedroom was very good! 4 - Location is just perfect!

The hotel is a few minutes away from the ferry, in the center of La Maddalena village. The location is perfect to explore the archipelago by boat, car, motorcycle or bike. Our standard double room was spacious, clean and with impeccable room service. All the staff (reception, breakfast and room service) were extremely friendly and made us feel spoiled and welcomed during our 8 days stay. Everyone was ready to help us and gave us important information to improve our experience. The breakfast consisted of a large variety of lovely options (both Continental and Italian style) that one could enjoy while looking at the harbor.

It was my birthday so I was expecting any kind of treat or surprise so I was a bit disapointed for the hotel not taking that into consideration.

The location is perfect, right in front of the ferry that comes from the main island which is super convenient and close to a lot of restaurants and bars. But the best part of our stay was the staff. All the ladies in the reception were completely amazing and friendly, giving us all the tips about beaches, parking and restaurants. Brekfast with great view over the sea and the ferries and with a lot of choices.

The location is perfect, right where you arrive if you came by ferry. The staff is super helpful cordial and very long all the time. The room was good and clean. The breakfast is a good bonus for people that like to eat well in the morning, with perfect view for the blue ocean of La Maddalena.

Breakfast was only okay, not much hot food but still nice to have as it was included in the price.

The hotel is located right outside the ferry which was handy for us but can be a bit loud at times. The staff were really friendly and the location is perfect. Shops, restaurants and bars are all around the hotel. We drove to a beach at the north of the island and also to caprera. These beaches were some of the best we went to in Sardinia. Parking was easy to find right outside the hotel.

There was no facilities for coffee and tea in the rooms. The bar was only open between 6pm and 9pm. The roof terrace was very bare and deserted. The terrace on the first floor was not able to be used because of high winds and the windbreaks were not pulled down. The television had only Italian channels.
