How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The beds were a bit old and made squeaky sound. the shower did not have a cubical so if you are not capable it might flow out in the bathroom but this maybe only for the room i booked. The location is not too far not too close from the city center but can be a problem if someone has to reach there at night.
The breakfast was really good at a reasonable price. The overall place was very nice and very clean.

Good location . Set back off main road, easy to find, parking included and less than 10 minutes into Verona. Large hotel, 24hr reception so we checked in after a late flight . Had family room with double bed , bunkbed and a travel cot and a bathroom . Helpful reception staff who directed us where to park in verona and gave us a map . Friendly

The only negative was that there wasn’t refrigerator.

The bathrooms were very small and cramped. Slightly overpriced for the quality and services offered. The hotel seemed slightly overcrowded for its size.
The breakfast was good, and the cleaning service was satisfactory. The connected room setup was convenient for accommodating a third person.

Even though the elevator wasn’t working and we had to carry our son in his wheelchair up the stairs, I’m not going to complain — everything else more than made up for that. Wow. Thank you!
I was genuinely impressed by the professional and warm service. The receptionist was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The room was just what we needed — clean, comfortable, and with a newly renovated bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and exceeded our expectations.

Slightly broken door to the bathroom, difficult to close. Shower currain instead of shower cabin door which clearly look like cheap workaround (doing its job through).
Clean basic room, helpful receptionist, nice breakfast. In general, the hotel beat times clearly passed, but they don't give up and try their best to still make the stay nice.

Not much. (The fragrance in the room was overpowering, but that is subjective)
Very pleasant, helpful staff. Location useful a one-night stay in Verona if you have a car (although there are frequent buses to the city centre. The breakfast was filling and inexpensive.

Close by to all the places we wanted to go, breakfast was great and you could definitely find something for yourself. The staff was really nice and inviting. Great blackout window blinds too! Perfect for midday naps. Overall definitely worth the money and would come here again.

Perfect place for a visit to verona. Yes hotel is old and outdated but that we know while booking it so we shouldn't judge it. Receptionist in the afternoon was extremely friendly and welcoming

The staff was extremely supportive and helpful, offering great tips on exploring the city, where to park. The room was clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. Free parking is available at the hotel, and the location is fantastic — close to everything you need.
