How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe pools and jets were great but I never got to experience the saunas as they weren’t open at 7:30 am There were no attendants to supply towels - my partner used both towels that were in the room. No cold water by the pool to dink which I expected for a five star hotel. The worst thing was ordering a hamburger from the menu for 30 euros and having it come nearly RAW - when asking for a new burger the chef refused saying it was supposed to be eaten raw. Actually charged 45 euros for bringing a smaller burger that was barely better. Fish tacos were 25 euros and served in a hard premade taco shell with pistachio cream. So if you don’t mind paying for food, that really is pretending to be gourmet and nonexistent service just to get a couple of nice pools and an updated bedroom. I guess it’s OK. There are so many better choices in Abano Terme. Abano Grand or Grand Hotel Trieste and Victoria serve a lovely breakfast and dinner inclusive with their newest rooms for less. Better massages too.
The Internet was extremely difficult to access on my iPhone and my iPad and even wouldn’t let me check in online, although it kept asking me to upload my passport. The check-in experience was less than positive. I really would’ve appreciated someone in the spa area to get towels from and water should’ve been available. The food was definitely bizarre and very expensive. The bar however, was good.

Verified reviewThe staff was welcoming and very helpful, any requests have been dealt with immediately. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of delicious food. Relaxing pool area, all necessary for taking a break.
As it was a bit too hot in the room, we kept the balcony door open at night and it was a bit noisy in the street.

The receptionist enters the credit card number into the computer. It is possible that someone could steal the card numbers stored on hotel computer! Considering the price, the room and services are worth max €200 per day!

Verified reviewIt is not our first stay in this hotel and the mere fact that we were back again, proves that we like it very much! From the first greeting at the reception: "Welcome back!" to the farewell, we felt ourselves comfortable and taken care of. Easy and quick check-in and check-out, wonderful pool, comfortable bed, rich and tasty breakfast, quiet surroundings - all you need for a good relax.
The youmger team at breakfast appeared to be a bit less experienced and attentive.

Verified reviewThe thermal water spa is truly beautiful and huge. All their prices are somewhat larger most likely because they include these extensive spa facilities, which are really impressive.
Too many mishaps in only 2 days. The personnel in the reception is very superior and they all barely speak any English - most of their guest are from Germany. They gave us a room with a completely malfunctioning electric system, which meant it was stuck on heating and the lights could not be shut, which we discovered at midnight when we wanted to go to sleep and when the reception was manned by a night-receptionist who barely spoke any English. Intermediary conclusion: don't have any problems with your room after 9 o'clock in the evening. We suspect the reception person who gave us this room to have known of this in advance (based on his reactions when he showed us the room), and yet they still stuck us in this room for the first night. We have no proof of what he knew or didn't know, though. Oh, and the room's entrance door handle was broken. They also don't accept every credit card out there, which is probably because they went cheap on CC commissions. Out of 16 places in Italy where we've used this card - other hotels, gas stations, restaurants, museums, airports, car rental - this was the only place that didn't accept it. Which lead to a back and forth at check-out time, no manager was present because it was Saturday and of course managers don't work on Saturdays, very annoying people at the reception blaming it on us, then blaming it on Nexi - the payment processor in Italy, not their fault of course, the same Nexi accepted this very card at many other locations in Italy. All in all very provincial and unprofessional, except for Patrizia (the manager) which came to our table at breakfast and gave us an upgrade for the second night.

Our colleague on duty that evening promptly offered you a comfortable alternative room, which you chose to decline. To make up for the inconvenience, we upgraded your accommodation for the second night to our Vital Spa Suite, the pinnacle of our offerings. This spacious suite features a cozy fireplace, a panoramic Finnish sauna, and a private hot mini-pool on the terrace—a truly luxurious experience. Our team is committed to guest satisfaction and worked diligently to ensure your comfort following the initial issue. Regarding the payment issue at check-out, we regret any inconvenience this may have caused. We’ve used Nexi for a long time without any problems, and we are confident this was an isolated incident.
