Restaurant serves great food. Unfortunately the next day we had food on our bill what we didn't have the evening before. It was from an other table. But we sorted it out.

The directions to the hotel were not clear and google maps takes you through the town which has really narrow streets. I got lost several times on the way. The hotel doesn't pick up the phone and getting assistance took me several hours of asking for a GPS location. They should really post a GPS location to guests either by auto message or confirmation email.

The evening menu was limited. We knew it may be limited due to its location and previous reviews but unfortunately it did not match the cost we paid (overpriced). What we ordered didn’t always match what we got and items were missing. Pudding choices luckily saved the day with some nice drinks also! Would be make it an amazing stay if the food was improved.

The views were amazing and the highlight of our stay. Beautiful peaceful location and comfortable room with great balcony. On the doorstep for some great hikes and exploring. Great spot to relax after a busy day.

The road up is concrete but tough going, bumpy and 1st gear to get round the mountain bends, but worth it!

We've had a room on opposite side of hotel, so it was dark all day with view on the rocks.

The hotel is situated above Oliena city in the mountains with beautiful views, cold breakfast with good choice... booking the table in restaurant for dinner is recommended, choice of foods was enough and everythin was tasty. Awesome terrace with beautiful view on the first floor with space to relax.

Amazing location with outstanding views of mountains. Close to very nice trekking routes up the mountain. It was easy to arrive, not so much mountain driving needed. We had dinner twice and the food was really delicious. Traditional sardinian and very home made with good ingredients. We also loved to have drinks at sunset in the terrace just outside of the room.

The beds are not ideal for American tastes, though absolutely meet European expectations just a little firm for our preference. The bathroom in our room was a little dated and could use updating, but everything was clean and in good condition.

Very happy with this hotel. It is set in a very beautiful location on the mountain and in the trees overlooking 500 meters above the city of Olienna. It is not a new or modern facility but is charming and well cared for with lots of character. The price we paid was a terrific value, way less than I would have expected for the quality, though we did stay at the very beginning of the season in March. The restaurant served excellent food at reasonable prices and they made extra effort to accommodate my food allergy to Gluten. There is great hiking through the mountains leading directly from the hotel.

Absolutely stunning views and super nice place to stay. Paulo was very helpful and wanted our stay to be remembered for a very long time. The food at the restaurant was delicious!!! I hope to come back there soon

We travelled as a couple and requested a room with a double bed. We were given a family room with a baby cot, which made the room unnecessarily cramped. There was a note asking us not to place bags and suitcases on the additional beds, but there were minimal options for luggage storage in the room - no desk or chairs, just one small wardrobe. Shower pressure was a little low. The winding road to reach the hotel is an adventure, but it's in good condition and puts you right at the centre of the hiking trails.

This hotel is a true gem for hikers. We stayed here a few years ago and on that occasion we booked a room with a mountain view. I'd definitely recommend upgrading for that. Lovely staff and a very good dinner and breakfast. Excellent value for money, warm and comfortable.

It is hard to find a fault!

The location is out of this world! At the feet of the mountain. The view is breathless! The rooms are perfectly clean comfortable and relaxing. The structure and the style is warming, welcoming and full of character, tradition and authenticity.

Not strong dislike, but going up the steep snake pass on the mountain at night is a bit scary. There's no light and the road to the top has some large stones which we had to avoid while driving upwards a steep incline.

The view from the balcony is amazing. The night sky is super clear and the mountain view in the morning is also very pretty. We were welcomed in the evening and the hotel offered us a place to eat at their restaurant. The room was decently spaced for a short trip. The prices for the stay and restaurant felt like a good price!

If you are in a rush in the morning the check out time of 8 30 probably is not that convenient but we sorted everything out and did not miss our planned cruise.

The hotel sits 2500ft above sea level with amazing views out across a valley. Above the hotel are perhaps the most impressive views as the jagged edge of the supramonte rises up out of the forest. Truly spectacular! The restaurant was extremely good value and the food amazing.

Got locked out of the hotel at 1am as the main gate was closed and the hotel reception was locked so we couldn't get in and had ro wait for staff to arrive to let us in

Dark room with small window staring straight to the uphill with no visibility. So it only served as a source for fresh air but without any view to the outside.

Location was awesome high in the mountains, very handy for hiking straight away. Big terrace with opening spectacular view to the mountains. Staff was very friendly, polite, helpful. Breakfast was very good.

The access road from the town of Uliena is a bit steep for inexperienced drivers but well signposted by the property.

We had a fabulous stay in S'Enis Monte Maccione. Facilities were excellent with good choice in the restaurant where we ate every night. Clean comfortable rooms and communal access to the outside terrace with its inspiring views over the valley and mountains where you could enjoy a drink from the bar. The highlight of our stay were our local excursions with Mario - one day to the top of the mountain overlooking the hotel, the next to the stunning Valle di Lanaitto (Valle di Lanaitho) and the Tiscali prehistoric village site - both trips starting from the comfort of the hotel lobby. Not only did he bring us safely to and from our destination, he was more than happy to share his deep knowledge and love of Sardinia, its language and culture with us. Super-Mario indeed - Gratzias meda.
