Had a wonderful time Emily's and would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.

A curtain across the downstairs bathroom window would be useful as you can be seen by people walking along the path. The vellux windows in the top bedroom do not latch properly and could get cold in the winter. The lower ground floor bedroom smelt musty and cold probably because it was almost basement level so it would have been nice to have some blankets for the two single beds We did find one in another other bedroom and only discovered a duvet under a bed upstairs on the last day. Not a criticism but sooo many steep steps to apartment that may be an issue for the elderly or unfit travellers.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and kitchen very well stocked. Good to have two parking spaces in the long garage although you do need a small car. Very thoughtful to provide colouring pencils and books for children and lots of reading material for adults. Fans and hairdryer supplied which was useful. Rental company very efficient and sent a detailed video about accessing the property and promptly replied to questions on WhatsApp.

This property is not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage - LOTS of stairs

    * Dining area: Chairs had rough/lifting edges of METAL mesh that ripped clothing. * Only 2 of the 3 bathrooms had baths and/or showers. * Entry level bath: the step into the bathroom is dangerous and hard to see; no shower or bath * Top floor bath: shower wash provided but no shampoo; no exhaust fan * Basement bath: No towels; no towel rails; no exhaust fan; no toilet roll holder (toilet rolls are across the room); window opens onto the path outside AND EVERYTHING IS VISIBLE from that path. Shower over the bath (no grab rails), must point showerhead towards the window as NO shower curtain to stop water going onto the floor (super slippery) or electrical components of the washing machine. No natural ventilation/light to help dry towels or mat. Heater: No instructions. Washing machine: Instructions only in Italian. * Basement bedroom: Fan/heater column rattles loudly; anteroom window has no curtain for privacy. * Misleading and INCORRECT instructions for finding the house. Route from car park across main road and down via Monterosa involves HUNDREDS of steps. Impossible if you have physical mobility issues and/or heavy or bulky luggage. Instructions for 'avoiding the stairs' by using the path near the Municipality are INCORRECT - the cobblestones get rougher AND there are 60 steps to the house (not shown in the video). Not included are instructions from the ferry terminal, which is easier but 40 steep steps at the end. * Steps in the house: Painted black (almost impossible to see the edges); NO handrails * Keys: Security is great, but it took time to master the door lock; be aware - green gate autolocks * Air con: only on top floor * Garbage: No containers for organics and non recyclable rubbish

Torno is a pretty (but very steep) town on Lake Como and the house was mostly as described, although 1 bathroom (entry level floor) did not have a shower or bath. The info pack was very helpful in locating the property, but lacked important details on the number of stairs required to access the property - one set of directions said it was an 'avoiding the stairs' option, but there were still 60 stairs to negotiate; the option from the car park involved HUNDREDS of steps. Wifi throughout the house (except basement bathroom) was very good. Views of the lake only from the dining/kitchen windows.

    Nothing.

Love the area, the separation between the rooms, the amount of bathrooms the city, how easy to grab anything from groceries to wine. Beautiful restaurants. Friendly people. Easy access to the ferry to go see all the different cities on Lake Como. The house was clean! The instructions were easy to access the property. The web site was fantastic. The host was readily available to help or communicate.
