The location is beautiful and the house very aesthetically done. It’s maintained well and is a lovely place, equipped with everything you can need for your stay. Daniella and Marco are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the property and will decide be recommending it to our friends & family!

The only thing I wish this property had was more information on how to use the appliances but that is only because we are from the USA and don’t know the appliances.

The location was amazing, it was out of town but very relaxing. The couple that runs it, went above and beyond what I expected. They helped us get us a taxi from the train station to their place. They provided processo upon our arrival and gave us the most lovely poster on our exit. The couple also gave us a ride to the train station on our day of check out.

This property was spacious and comfortable. Super well-equipped kitchen should you want to eat in. Beautiful view of the lake. If you stay here without a car, keep in mind it is a bit of a distance from Varenna. If you like to walk, there is a nice path that takes you there. It isn't a path you'd likely want to take at night, so you will need to utilize taxis at times. Taxis are not super easy to get, but the host, Daniela, is great about helping you to arrange one at any time and will also offer you rides into town when she and her husband (who live on the property) are going in. (Be sure and arrange transportation from the train station with her before you arrive. WhatsApp is best way to communicate with Daniela.) She was a wonderful host.

If you don’t mind walking it’s ok however be prepared that there is no taxi/public transport in and out the property to the centre.

The property was immaculate with stunning views. It was exceptionally clean and had all essential facilities. Daniela and Marco were so helpful and were always at hand for any questions we had. Their communication was excellent and they really went above and beyond in any way they could. It really was a fabulous property and can’t wait to come back.

It was difficult to get a taxi sometimes and getting to the property is hard if you take the ferry into Varenna because it’s quite a bit outside of the town.

We felt so comfortable here and slept so well with the comfortable beds and great air conditioning. The private beach was so lovely for a swim and we liked being in a more quiet location without crowds. The kitchen was well equipped and the hosts were so kind and helpful.

I liked everything.

As soon as we arrived, one of our hosts was there to meet us and give us a full walk through of the accommodation. They had even done the nice touch of providing us with some welcome drinks in the fridge and proper Italian biscuits.

It was quite a long way into Varenna on foot and options for buying groceries were quite limited.

It was a wonderful home from home and you could feel the care the owners had put into preparing everything for their guests. The house was spotless with really good quality fittings. Being right on the lake with incredible views and having access to a private beach for swimming was wonderful.

As a family of three adult children we did not found any thing which we didn’t like.

Nonno Marco and Nonna Daniela were the best host, they made our stay very comfortable and cozy. The access to the lake was as very convenient, it had a parking space

It wasn’t easy to walk anywhere as there is no walkway along the road. Worked well with our car though.

We had a lovely stay at El Lavandee and really enjoyed the comfort of a larger space for our family of 5, the air con, washing machine and, especially the little private beach (through the tunnel under the road). The apartment was well equipped, clean and well styled. It was 2km out of Varenna but there was a great multi story car park on the edge of Varenna which served us well. Daniela and Marco were really helpful and we loved the boat hire they suggested - 3hours on Lake Como was a highlight!

Distance from the town. Hard to walk with kids because there are no sidewalks and feels a little dangerous. There are not a lot of taxis.

Wonderful apartment! Felt like you were actually living in Como with access to private beach. Very specious room with wonderful kitchen with a view to the lake. Very helpful owners who met us at the train station and helped during the entire stay.

The interior was beautiful, stylish and clean. We absolutely loved the lakeside view from the kitchen, which was absolutely stunning. In terms of location, it was about 4-5 min drive from Villa Monasteri, so it made a great base for us to explore from (days we were exploring other towns, we would park at the car park opposite Villa Monasteri, and take the ferry which was c.7 min walk from Villa Monasteri). It goes without saying, the hosts, Marco and Daniela, were also amazing and really friendly.

Everything - the view on the lake from the balcony and from the large window of the kitchen is priceless. The equipments are great (comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen). The hosts were very welcoming (they offered a bottle a Prosecco at arrival and a nice poster of Varenna at departure) and made everything easy for us (they drove us from and to the train station). On top of this, Varenna is the most beautiful village out of the triangle (including Bellagio which is by far more touristy) and the view from the Castello Di Vezio is just something else. Would definitely recommend El Lavandee!
