How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast is only a coffee and a croissant in the cafe nearby, where the coffee lady is very unhappy with these vouchers :)
Small, but comfortable room. Very good location, close to the Termini train station and metro station.

Only one thing could be better, there was no shower head in the bathroom and it was hard to wash with only rainshower
Perfect contact with the owners, really clean place, very close to the subway, comfortable and big bed, also was nice to have kitchen there. To sum up, great place for this price!

The hotel rooms are located on the third floor and there's alot of stairs. We needed to be buzzed in each time after exiting the main door. The shower is really small with no door to stop water from leaking on the floor. Limited breakfast selection at a Cafe.
We were only at the hotel for two days but the room was very nice, clean, and cozy with a balcony. It's location is less than 30min. from the train station. The host is also very quick to respond to any concerns or questions.

spacious room equipped with all you need, a place to hang your clothes, mirror, small lamps. air conditioning, cosmetics in the bathroom and open kitchen. Breakfast close to the apartment, Hosts are super nice. Close to all tourist attractions. Would definitely stay there again if I came back to Rome

The room was so clean and made up everyday. Not like a normal hotel, felt like an apartment almost but with a shared kitchen. We had the room with the balcony which really added to it for us. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum, so a lot of walking once you get to the Spanish Steps etc but we loved it

The location was very good, 10 minutes walk from Colosseum, yet in a quiet and nice area. The apartment was very.clean and comfortable and the owners very responsive. We had a really nice time there and would come back gladly.

No actually a negative points, but a recommendation for other visitors - to keep in mind that there is a city tax not included in the price on booking but this is common practice for many accommodations in Italy. Personally, I prefer to have all costs included in the price from the beginning.
A decent room, not luxury but clean and spacious. We appreciated the complimentary coffee/tea and kitchen access. Wonderful staff (we communicated perfectly). Breakfast is offered in a nearby coffee shop where you can choose between sweets, croissants or sandwiches. Daily cleaning. Proximity to subway, railway station and city center.

The only negative part was the water in the shower never got hot, it was room temperature.

I only had two problems: when it rained the rain actually came into the building that the property is in. There was black mould on the back of the bathroom door and behind one of the plug sockets in the room.
The hosts were really friendly. Rooms were spacious. Extra pillows in the wardrobe if you wanted them. Air conditioning unit so room is nice and cold when you’re back. Not too far to walk from places. Breakfast vouchers to a really lovely cafe down the road.

The shower was a bit uncomfortable as the door didn't shut well and there was no handheld shower. But all in all it had all we needed.
The late check in was smooth and Manuela was available whenever we contacted her! It's a perfect location if you just want to enjoy the many gems Rone has to offer 😊

There was a bit of a distance to coliseum and main attractions.
