Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsOverall, I liked everything about the accommodation. The only thing I would recommend is not to turn on the oven and washing machine at the same time because the power goes out and there was no warning about this. Paolla was super helpful and solved the problem right away, but if she hadn't been home, we would have been without power.
The apartment is large, has a kitchen, 1 bathroom, balcony, 1 large bedroom with a double bed and a large living room with 2 sofa beds. The furniture is old but matches the decor. The location is good, being a 15-minute walk from the Marino Laziale train station.

EstoniaThis apartment is the best in the city. The location is great. The apartment is clean. Nice bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need. Large balcony. The apartment has internet. There are several restaurants near the apartment. In the next house, to the right of the entrance, there is a good butcher shop. If you walk along the right side of the street to the right, you can visit a fashionable hairdresser. A professional hairdresser offers various services. We liked the quality of his work. Down the street is a children's clothing store, and a few steps from the children's store is a women's fashion clothing and shoe store. If you go further down the street, there will be a bus stop. A bus stops at this stop and takes you to the sea. I advise you to search the Internet for information about bus schedules. You can buy coffee and a bus ticket at the bar closest to the stop. The sea can be reached in 1 hour. (Torvaianika stop). The beach is sandy. The sea is clean and not deep near the shore. The apartment is also located near the train stop. Walking distance is about 7-10 minutes. You can buy a ticket at the station from a machine. Payment is made in cash or by card. You can take the train to Rome. This will take approximately half an hour. You can get to Ciampino station. On the other side of Marino is Lake Albana. By train 1 stop – 5 minutes. You can go down to the lake in 10 minutes. Price for 2 sun loungers and an umbrella is 10 euros, on weekends 15 euros. The water in the lake is clean and warm. Information on how we got from Ciampino airport to Marino. Taxi from the airport – 40 euros and taxi to the airport – 35 euros. We ordered a taxi to the airport via email. Information is available on the Internet. The taxi arrives from the city of Albano. If you want to see Rome, then, in my opinion, the city of Marino is an ideal place to live.

UkraineWiFi is available only in the kitchen. There is no signal in other rooms due to bad placement of the router and thick walls. I understand the router is actually placed in the neighboring apartment. People travelling for work and who are in need of good internet should stay away. To be fair the owner apologized for having bad internet. Bad WiFi is a deal breaker for me thus I cannot say the stay was good. Also bath tube does not have curtains or anything that can stop water from spilling all over the bath floor. And water pressure is high, so unless you lie down in the bath tube, the floor gets wet quite easily. There are a bunch of rugs available, but otherwise the floor gets dangerously slippery. For coffee lovers, there is only mokka pot available (and bring your own coffee) which is good enough, but this is not really a coffee machine as advertised.
Spacious typical Italian-style apartment in the old building with antique furniture, comfy main bed, the terrace and awesome views.
