Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineWe were for 4 nights. The room don’t clean for four days, so it’s bad. Also keys don’t work and it was a real problem you need to wait for people who live in this building to open the doors, and another guests can’t come into the rooms because if the keys…and they were knocking at night to come into their rooms.
Tha location is very good. It’s near the central station and 20 minutes to the city center.

RomaniaIt is a very old building, the door at the entrance of the building is not working properly, it is not opening properly. They gave us wrongly the keys from other apartment, we need to wait to switch the key. The room was really cold, it has just air conditioning and it was not really working. The room was not perfect clean.
Good location, the room is big.

United KingdomThe locks of the street entrance and communal staircase/lift entrance doors are worn so it can be tricky to get the keys to rotate and unlock, but they do work. Sometimes it happens straight away and sometimes you have to wiggle the key in the lock to make it work. We had an issue with a faulty kettle plug and a leak from the shower cubicle which caused water to puddle on the bathroom floor. These issues were promptly dealt with once we reported them to the management company Easylife. I would not recommend this property to any wheelchair users. Firstly because of the narrow inner doors of the lift making access/egress of the lift probably quite difficult. Secondly because there are two steps upwards immediately behind the 4th floor door, followed by two steps downwards into the actual apartment. Thirdly there are two steps leading to the en-suite bathroom.
The location is easily reachable on foot from the Central railway station (about 10 mins) or by Tram No 5. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and two supermarkets in the local area. There is a cafe serving breakfast and light lunch on the corner of the street and a restaurant (Tram Tram) next door. Trams No 1 (to city centre) and No 5 (to Porta Venezia) regularly operate along the street outside the property. The property is one of four apartments located on the 4th floor of a typical courtyard style of building. The large street door leads into a courtyard from where another door is unlocked to access the communal staircase and lift. On exiting the lift on the 4th floor, the apartment corridor door is directly opposite and this then gives access to each of the four apartment doors. The apartment was spacious, consisting of two bedrooms, each with a balcony and an en-suite bathroom linked to the 2nd bedroom. There was also a kitchen unit in the 2nd bedroom with a kettle, some basic crockery and a fridge. There was plenty of hanging space and a good supply of clothes hangers.

Kuwait1-The fridge’s handle was broken. 2-Too many doors/keys (4 starting from the one for the whole building till you go to the room). 3-Blood stains on the bed sheets. 4-Shower flow was weak/slow. The shower box was also too small. Lastly, the shower door didn’t lock tightly so the water would go out of the box to the restroom. 5-the elevator was probably the smallest elevator there is.
Spacious. Very friendly staff.

United StatesUnfortunately the wi-fi was unusable in our room (403). This might not be the case in the other rooms that were closer to the router, but while sat at the desk or on the bed in the room, wi-fi was crawling (speedtest showed 4 mbps) even after turning router off/on. I needed to work and had to sit in the common area which was not convenient and had other guests walking by while I was on zoom meetings. The room is in a sub-divided apartment.
Check-in was smooth, host met us at the property. The bed was big and there was A/C. It was clean and for the most part the room has what you need but is kinda small. There are restaurants nearby, and it's close to Central Station.

FranceOrganisation was terrible. We were charged on Booking.com for the tourist tax before arrival which is normal, but then the owner demanded more payment for the tax, they threatened to withhold access to building until we paid. Therefore, we had to contact Booking.com to check the regulations and pricing. Booking informed us we were correct, and the owners were wrong. This process took 2+ hours after we arrived in Milan. When we finally obtained access to the room, it had not been cleaned (images attached). There was dust everywhere, hair in the bed, ants in the bathroom. The toilet flush was also completely broken (image attached). We contacted the owner to fix this. They took around 5-6 hours to do so, during this time we couldn't use the appartment because of the damage to the bathroom. We were only there for one night, so the majority of the time there, the flat couldn't be used.
There was lots of space, and a nice balcony

GermanySo difficult to stay at. Right from the check in I felt something strange was happening. I had to send all of my scanned docs via an online form including taking a selfie!!! Then they sent me an email with 4 different entrance codes. I got there at 8.15pm tired after a long day and then had to navigate Fort Knox to find my room. The 2nd to last obstacle was the door to the apartment which was broken anyway so just opened with a push (not exactly safe). When I got to my final obstacle the electronic key box, I could hear running water from my room. I got in to find the flush broken on the toilet so I then had to dismantle the plastic around the flush to stop the water. They responded quickly via whatsapp but as there are no staff on hand I would have had no assistance anyway. Advice: just hire someone to help with check ins and ditch the codes. 8.15pm on a Thursday is not that late!
Regarding the actually apartment it was clean and comfortable, the bed was good, the room was modern and the shower and toilet were clean.

United KingdomThe keys on the main entrance does not work. The management sent us this link where we need to ring our room number first then press a link on our phone to unlock the main door. We tried multiple times but still not working. On their message before check in, they said that a staff is always present to provide but we didn't think that it would be over whatsapp providing instructions. On the second night after coming back from a daytrip to Switzerland, we came back around 10.45pm. And we can not open the main entrance. We tried a million times with that link but still not working. Luckily another tourist came and was staying on a different room had the keys and they said they have the same issue. We were able get into our room by 11.30pm. They could have just used a traditional keys to open the main entrance. As a tourist, i really don't mind what type of keys I am holding as long as it works whenever i need to enter my room. Also there was no rubbish bin in the room aside from the small bin in the toilet. These are small investments for the property. I would have rated this property 10/10 if not for keys not working.
Clean spacious room. Comfortable beds. Location.

GreecePlace looks fine. As it is pictured and it is fairly clean. However, there’s a huge problem with all the doors you have to cross to get into the apartment. The main door that leads into the building is malfunctioning. The key given to us by the host company is not suitable for the door and therefore it doesn’t open. We were locked out, many times, a lot of times for more than half an hour & we had to call the agency that runs the place to open the doors. Although, each time they arrived they were too late and someone else from inside the building opened the door for us. This is an unfortunate circumstance and bad experience overall since we were always scared that we would be left locked out. I don’t recommend for this exact reason. The hosting agency told us this would be fixed just to reassure us but obviously it didn’t get resolved.
