The beds and pillows were quite hard

Beautiful old villa just a few minutes walk from the centre of Stresa. The staff - especially the two receptionists were exceptional- so helpful and always so pleasant. Our room was on the top floor - fairly spacious- even sharing with our daughter and great air conditioning. Even a view of the lake Breakfast was very good. We loved staying in the villa - such a special place.

It was a beautiful building with character, room was amazing with delightful views. Breakfast each day was very special In the beautiful dining room overlooking Stresa. The mattress and pillows were a bit hard for me - but that might be a personal taste.

Beautiful Belle Epoque hotel. Close to the station and the city centre. Very good breakfast (for Italian standards), with fruit, yoghurt, eggs, ... and a good cappuccino. I was staying in a room in the annex building: spacious and clean, with a good shower. A special mention for the warm welcome by the lady at the reception and for her genuine kindness and helpfulness throughout my stay. She should get a pay raise from her boss for her authentic hospitality and dedication to the hotel! (I travel a lot, and this is rare.)

Oh my golly! What a hidden gem! The staff are incredible! The charming Slovakian lady who checked us in was an absolute darling - so welcoming and thoughtful. We felt so welcome! The location is amazing - just far enough out to be super but a three minute walk to the bustling centre. The room was lovely and quiet- spacious and very clean.

Great hotel, the room was big and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Great location, only 5mins walk from the town. The hotel is situated up a slope or up about 30 steps so not for the faint hearted! We stayed in the annex, a short walk to the main building. Very quiet. Breakfast was good, always replenished with fresh items. Stresa itself is a must visit town. The views across the lake are breathtaking and the lake is great for a swim to cool off.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

The reception, breakfast and room teams were so friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could. Special effort was made for my husband's birthday. The hotel has an old fashioned charm and elegance about it. Our room in the annexe was a great size, was tastefully decorated and had all the modern conveniences that you would need.

The hotel has a carparking area, but you have to pay for it. We struggled a bit during the night, because of the wood flooring, people walking around late at night in the room above us were quite noisy.

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. We originally booked a room in the annex building, but received an upgrade to a lake front room on the main building, so we felt very special. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast had plenty of options. The location is just a couple minutes walk from the main shops and restaurants. We had a fantastic stay. Special mention to receptionist Lucia who gave us lots of information about the area and was always very welcoming.
