Be aware that there is no catering apart from breakfast. And no kettle in the room.

The property is well placed for walking from the railway station and into the historic centre. It isn’t a hotel but part of a Franciscan convent, where people visiting their relatives in the attached hospital can stay, and which is also open for travellers. It has comfortable spacious rooms and well equipped bathrooms and breakfast. A very efficient and friendly receptionist who kindly rang me to say I’d left an earring behind

The hotel is very close to Castelvecchio and the arena. There is also a supermarket nearby. The parking lot is an added bonus, only the door is a little narrower, since we were with a van. Breakfast is mostly sweet, but we weren't hungry. We had a really nice time.

Curtains did not block the morning light and the bathroom floor was very slippery - be careful!

I had no idea this was part of a monastery! It should be flagged up on Booking. Don't miss seeing the adjoining cloister with old frescoes and church. The hotel section was rather clinical, as was my room although it was perfectly adequate. Decent buffet breakfast. it's about 10 minutes walk to the castle and centre - a bit further to the arena

Nothing really. A kettle in the room would be a bonus or one in the kitchen which could be shared. The breakfast was more limited than other places we stayed in Verona and Lake Garda for the same or a cheaper price

Look out for the short check in window, not sure what I’d have done if my flight was delayed and it panicked me a bit.
