How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Liliana is an incredible host and goes out of her way to ensure guests have an excellent stay. The rooms are a good size. AC works well. Beds are comfortable. The location is excellent.

Room didn’t have much natural light, shower was a bit small (which I know is quite standard).
Great location, quiet but very walkable to center city and all the attractions. Liliana was an incredibly kind host, super friendly!

Excellent experience. Our host, Liliana was extremely attentive. First class breakfast with wide range of cooked, cereal, pastries, etc. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

There was a renovation at the building's façade, nothing too disturbing, but I would love to be informed before :) During the breakfast, they prepared full breakfast only for us (we were 3), which is wonderful. Anyhow, there was only 2 small Nutellas and when we asked for an other one, the answer was no Nutella left. OK it is not something serious, but kind of disturbing. How it can be difficult to supply Nutella for 3 of us in Italy?
Great size room, very clean. A decent breakfast. Just in the middle of Vatican, and Rome attractions.

Bathroom and Toilet Cleaning could be better.
Breakfast was nice, satisfactory for such a facility. Location was not the best but ok if you like walking. Staff both Brian and Lady (sorry could not remember her name) were very polite and helpful.

We had one small problem in the bathroom with the shower head holder being loose. The staff noted it, but our stay wasn’t long enough for us to know if it got fixed. No big deal.
Wonderfully functioning AC (during the heat wave!), kind and attentive staff, location was excellent, breakfast was sufficient, room was comfortable, bathroom was compact but clean and provided all we needed.

Under construction. If you didn’t know that, you’d think you were dropped off at a construction site. Otherwise, once inside it’s great

Nothing much. The internet was weak in the room.
Our hostess Liliana was a warm and welcoming person. She was a perfect hostess. The breakfast was simple and just right. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is well located, near Piazza Navona and the Vatican. Altogether, great stay!

The staff makes all the difference when you're visiting a new city. We were so well received and well informed that it made our stay special. The room was clean, the breakfast while simple still helped get our day started. In a great neighborhood as well.

There is some construction going on nearby, but it did not disturb us during our stay.
The location is convenient. the facility is clean. breakfast was delicious, but the best part was the staff. She is wonderful and very helpful.

The property is very well positioned in the center Rome close to the ancient historical monuments and the Vatican city. There is very good security to the establishment. Liliana who hosted us is a sweetheart of a woman and she makes the best Americano coffee ever!

The breakfast was very nice. Lots of fresh foods, everything you needed for a great start to the day. Liliana was wonderful-she went out of her way to make our stay a memorable experience.

There was not a small sign to denote the location just a small marker next to the buzzer that lets you in.
So convenient 15 minute walk to Vatican City and just a 30 minute walk to the Colosseum. Such a friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the fresh breakfast with eggs to order! Very safe and overlooking the river. No balcony but we were able to open the windows.
