How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was superb, just a few minutes walk from the arena. Marco, our host was very welcoming and kindly reserved us parking just outside the building. The accommodation was superb, spotlessly clean and very comfortable air-conditioned room. Breakfast was simple but very good. We loved the murals with views of Verona in the breakfast room and our bedroom!

Absolutely everything was perfect. Great pre arrival communication. Parking right in front of the building. Smooth check in process. Beautiful paintings of Verona on the walls. Clean and comfortable room. Amazing breakfast and presentation will stay here again. Great location close to EVERYTHING.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and walking distance to all the major sites. Host was very helpful. Breakfast was perfect to kick-off the day.

Would have liked to have been a little closer to the centre.
The contemporary styling of the suite. The quality of the finishing. The quality of the breakfast - fresh cherries for starters. The other two guests were a bonus as they were lovely.

The apartment is small if you are sharing with strangers.
Good location and very clean. There's a luggage storage across the street and a quick walk to most places.

We had booked both rooms, but it was not clear in the information that it is a shared apartment. Although each room has a private shower room. This was not an issue as we had the whole apartment, but it would be good to know if you only book one room.
The apartment is clean and very well located. It is a close walk to most places and a quick taxi to the station.

Marco was a great host. Catered to your every need, provided great information on what’s good to do in the area and where is nice to eat ect. Even provided me with a map showing this. Made the B&B very homely but also like you had all the privacy you needed. Breakfast was nice, Marco even made me a cappuccino every morning. Only a 10 minute walk to the main piazza and arena. Can’t fault my stay here. Fantastic

The apartment is very close to the city center. Very clean and modern room. Marco was an amazing host, offering tips in Verona and took great care of every needs we had. He made a really good breakfast and the coffee was great as well. Overall we were really happy with our stay in Verona

Mario was great. As we were cycling we had some specific needs and he helped us with them. He was also very responsive to messages. We stayed two nights. The location is great, conveniently located near the Arena which is nice since the operas end late. Room and breakfast were good..

Was a little taken aback that it was a B&B as I didn’t recall that description when booking, and feel sure it was described as a hotel. That means no facility to relax save in your room. Only other point is that Booking.com stated airport shuttle which was not the case. Marco initially said we needed to call our own taxi, but then agreed to call on our behalf and it arrived super promptly.
Room and shower room large and extremely clean, with great towels and firm but comfortable bed. Marco very friendly. Excellent proximity to Piazza Bra and pleasant walk to all amenities. Marco gave us a map and was very helpful marking out key points to see as our time was short. As breakfast didn’t start till 8am and we needed to get to the airport for 8.30am, he kindly made a takeaway breakfast for us. Would recommend.

Property was fine. It was the landlord/contact person (Marco) who was a bit too fast in his explanations. We felt like we were disturbing him, with our presence and questions.
Location was fantastic, very close to the arena. Place was clean, in very good condition. We also had free parking close to the building.

It really was an air B and B! It was an apartment on 3rd floor in a 6 storey building. The taxi driver found it so difficult to find. The apartment was then divided into two bedrooms so it felt strange. We met the other occupants at breakfast, served in a separate room. Definitely would not recommend it for solo female visitor. Single beds very narrow.
It was clean. Murals nice.
