Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. UkraineThe only downside is that since the street is very central, it was quite noisy at night during the weekend.
The room is located right in the center, in a beautiful historic building. The view from the window is absolutely stunning — you can see the port and even the ferries heading to Ponza and Ventotene. Everything was very clean and tidy, the bed linen was fresh. The host, Marco, was very kind and welcoming. He met us personally and explained everything in detail. The room itself is incredible, like a museum, with antique furniture. In the morning, we had breakfast, and a lovely lady made us coffee. It was a wonderful experience!

We had a lovely time at this place. It was easy to reach from the train station - around 5 minutes walk and was walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel is really lovely and clean. We stayed in a huge room with a fantastic sea view and lots of antique furniture with high ceilings, really special. Marco the owner was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, we would stay again definitely.

The port was across the street. the location was ideal. Ocean front w/ balcony. I love the old world furniture in the room. I opened one of the cabinets and found old pictures and hand crafted items. the shower was bigger than most and was able to shave, a plus in Italy.

BelgiumItalian breakfast is not what we're used to, we would prefer fresh bread instead of biscuits packed in plastic. But that is everywhere the same in Italy. So no blame to just Domus Cicerone. Street noise, but that was because of Saturday night...
Room was fantastic, very spacy. Very clean. Building with a lot of charme and character.

United Kingdomno outlook from my room and opened onto the interior access terrace which meant I could not leave a window open at night (the room has French doors only). the en-suite bathroom in my room was tiny - particularly narrow - making it difficult to use (and I am relatively young and able bodied). the decision to have a bidet cramps it even further. The main issue was the price - very overpriced for a September weekend. at a more reasonable price this would be a great value option, but I didn’t feel it was worth the €120+ a night especially when compared to my Rome prime location accommodation the night before, at a similar rate.
great location convenient to the station and port. clean and rooms good size, lovely towels and comfortable bed. the host was extremely welcoming and helpful. the property is a lovely apartment in an attractive old building and seems well looked after. I particularly loved the family history and photographs which is a lovely touch. the room was also fairly quiet, given its location and the music event happening in the park opposite (my room was to the rear) a simple breakfast is included, around a communal table in the kitchen - a nice start to the day.
