There are so many stairs! I think i counted 94 stairs to get from the top family pool area, to the bottom pool area that had the beach restaurant. We had our 6 month old baby with us so it was a lot trying to get up and down! The outdoor pool area and rooms seem like they are getting a little old, but they everything was clean.

The view is stunning! The restaurant down by the pool was absolutely delicious! (I believe it’s called beach club … We ate there multiple times because it was so good! The staff at Zagarella is very kind and accommodating! They have shows every night! Also worth noting, they have a pharmacy and doctor on the property incase you need it. (Limited hours)

The property shows signs of age both inside and out, which lends it a somewhat timeworn appearance and creates the impression that it could benefit from more attentive upkeep.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location: peacefully tucked away, yet just a short distance from a lively town. Its direct access to the sea is a true highlight: a path from the rocky cliffs leads straight to calm, clear, and inviting waters, perfect for swimming and relaxation. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to swim in such pristine surroundings. The property has a very nice swimming pool. The hotel features a single restaurant, offering breakfast and lunch. While the menu was simple, the food was fresh, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. Throughout our stay, the staff was consistently attentive and welcoming.

Would recommend a car as it would make it easier to get around. There is a free local bus but navigating it with small children is tricky in the heat (likely better in cooler months though!)

Friendly staff, nice selection of food at breakfast and dinner, multiple pools, with lovely views. Great spots for relaxing and quiet time.

Breakfast wasn’t the best. Cold options were okay, warm options were cold the first day and didn’t try after that.

Rooms and facilities were lovely. As it was the start of the season it was nice and quiet and we could easily use what we wanted.

Breakfast is unfortunately not so great, everyday the same, small option of fruits and lot of sweet croissants, few options of bread, coffee was not a good one... in this point they need to upgrade the service/options. Parking is also a nightmare... they don't let you Park at the Hotel, they send everyone to another parking place and charge a 12 euro per day, to achieve the parking you need to walking near to a very busy road.

Location, beach club, all the pools, employees are very friendly, kids club is also very good. Rooms are very well cleaned.

Without a having a rented car, it's difficult to approach the hotel. 30 min walk from the S. Flavia train station in burning sun with children is unacceptable. At the reception I was told there's no shuttle bus from the station. I had to figure out myself that there's a local service for tourists, taking you to different places gratis.

We went for half board but breakfast and dinner were the same every day, no much options and every day the same food. Also by 9:15pm all the food were gone and no signs of them refilling with more. The location is not as great either as there is no shops or nothing near by, you definitely need a car. Also the check in and check out hours aren't great, checking in at 4pm is way too late and checking out at 10am is way too early. Finally they charge you for parking €7 a day which in my opinion should be included.

The view from the room is beautiful, beds were comfortable. That's all.

Restaurant buffet service needs to be much better. Roast chicken was very very salty & other food was not up to four star hotel status unfortunately. We arrived & paid for the buffet at 20.15 and they started closing it down by 20.40 so we felt very rushed- we should have been informed on arrival at restaurant & before we paid for the buffet. No one came round with water jugs , we did ask several times - I had to get them from other tables in the end. Finally we had lots of problems with the room card key not working, several visits to reception- in the end a manual key was given until the room lock was replaced two hours later.

Clean and modern- rooms & pools were lovely

Not all staff were super friendly. Lack of organization around pools. Too many people are always around the pools' stairs. The events are not properly announced. It would have been nice to have someone letting us know about what the events(and times) would be while we were there. Also, it would have been nice to be advised that the hotel is NOT in a walking friendly area. It's basically on the road, so if you don't go by car, it will be very difficult to walk in the area.

The hotel structure was very good. The cleaning lady was the best, very service oriented, friendly, and always did a fantastic job. A lot of swimming pools and access to the ocean. Small, but good room. Good breakfast (apart from the juice bar). Also, the hotel is very close to some great fishing villages and beaches. Just make sure you have/rent a car.

I feel cheated by booking.com since they present this property at the top of the search as a 4-star hotel, and don't mention anything about half of the facilities at the property being reserved for "D Club". If you read the reviews you can see it has fooled a lot of people, you simply don't get what you expect. Booking.com, improve! It simply isn't a four star property, I would rate it as a solid 3-star, not more. Some of the doors to the rooms have locks that does not work properly, sometimes they do not lock. The family we travelled with had seen a guy standing in the corridor by the emergency door (that was opened although it should be closed) and didn't think much about it. But at one point, a stranger entered the room since the lock didn't work properly. The woman was in the shower and yelled so the stranger left, when her man went out in the corridor just a few seconds later no one was there and the emergency exit was open. Afterwards we told the reception and they were really upset about this and we got the feeling that this wasn't the first time they heard about it. Then the thing with the "D Club". The sunbeds that you can actually use isn't enough for everyone, you need to get there really early to get a bed.

Using the sunbeds down at the bottom by the sea and swimming in the sea from there was really nice! They had a gym that I used two times, it was nice! When we left the hotel we had an early flight, we asked in the reception and they provided us with a bag of breakfast since the restaurant wasn't open that early, very nice!

Buffet restaurant was not good. Food was cold. It was confused in which area we were allowed due to D club.. also we missed the services. Sometimes when we booked an reservation at the reception for the a la carte restaurant she got refused because it didn't went well. We had to convince them.

Nice location, neatly gym. Room has all the facilities that's needed. Swimming pools are great and view is amazing. There is a lot of entertainment in the hotel. We stayed at the villa so we were not bothered with the music. When you are staying at the hotel I think the music is hard

THE FEE of parking because when i booked there was nothing about the payment f 12 EURO DAILY against parking, (please update your information) AND The approach of the D Club reprehensive, as soon as i did my check she came to me to do an appointment for the day after at 9am, but in my 1st hr of staying ( 30 min after the appointment) i was on a deck after i arrived, was tired after a full day traveling, she came directly to us and told me that this is not a place i can sit on deckchair, honestly i did not do this on purpose and as she looks a smart person with all her knowledge and she new that i had an appointment the day after to join , and we where alone by the pool it would be nice to enplane herself and tells what was this Famous D Club .(i just moved and cancelled the day after appointment) .

the bathtub was old and had some tends in it that we mistook for dirt at first, they didn’t know how to make their signature cocktails so that was kind of disappointing…
