How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We are not really in favour of self check in....reason being, when travelling it is not always easy to pick up emails. It stated B & B, however there was no milk, and the electric jug did not work. We found the breakfast sub standard...suggestion...put in a fridge.
The room was spacious, clean and very functional for our one night stay. So close to Marco Polo Airport we could walk.

There was no person to talk to or ask a question, and we had to figure it all out at 22:30 by ourselves
It was clean and nice, welcoming and quiet. Great shower!!

Loooots of mosquitos outside but that’s hardly the properties fault
Clean, easy to access, 20€ for taxi from airport. Only stayed one night but would stay again. Next day we took bus 85 to sottomarina (5min walk from accommodation, bus ticket 14€ pP) which was super comfortable.

Luckily we had no issues but wonder how it would be to troubleshoot since there are no people on site and question regarding parking was never answered via booking chat. Eventually we figured out how to open the gate though.
Very convenient location to VCE airport since we had a morning flight the next day and were coming from the Dolomites. The apartment was huge and it was nice that it had a small fridge. Location at the end of a street so no car noise and didn’t notice any noise from the airport. Everything was self check in which was fine to figure out via the instructions and videos. We opened the main gate with the key card so we could park our car inside. Within 10 min walk to restaurants on the Main Street. No interactions with staff in the evening or morning because we arrived and left early but we saw the breakfast area.

What a great stay the night before our flight out of Venice! Very accessible by bus from central Venice and just a few minute taxi ride to the airport! Located in a quiet dead end street. There is some air traffic noise from the airport but nothing that kept us up at night! Easy self-check in and the room was superb! Very modern with plenty of space! Beds were comfy and the shower with the overhead faucet was amazing after a long day of exploring Venice. Everything was extremely clean! Wish we had more to time to relax with a drink on the balcony!

It's a beautifully apartment. Very spacious for a family. Very clean and modern looking. Very close to the airport in a residential area. You could walk from the airport.

Since i had to return the car at airport, I walked from the airport to hotel and the walking distance is exactly 20min (without dragging luggage and in decently fast pace). Since we had several luggage units and 6 am flight, we chose 5 min taxi drive instead for 20 eur, all perfectly settled by the host. Part of the route to airport doesnot offer pedestrian walkway. But in general, the route is walkable and looked safe. No coffee for the early birds.
We had family room and fully satisfied with its size, looked newly renovated, good sleeping quality and sound isolation, necessary toiletries in place, calm location in private house neighbourhood.

Fresh and clean. Clear instructions for the address and access. Offered cafe - restaurant suggestions with directions included. Staff at reception on checkout very welcoming.

Need to leave more body/bar soap.
Perfect location- close to airport. Easy to access property with instructions. No staff on site but very communicative. Room very clean and large. Great restaurant recommendation - 8 minute walk.

In the morning close to check out time the noise of other rooms slamming doors were quite disturbing.
Self-check and shower are amazing, room is clean and although we never got to see the staff, all instructions were perfectly provided.

The breakfast was very disappointing. the walk to the airport is to be avoided due to 100 metres with no pavement.
Arrived early but luggage was safely stored. Took the boat into Venice. 3 mins by bus to the airport.

Coffee maker in the room would have been nice, or a microwave to heat up water. I was asked 3 times to complete check in with passport pictures. Was told the request was system generated, but nonetheless annoying to have to stop what I was doing 2 additional times.
Both the room and the bathroom were like new. Clean and comfy. Self check in was a breeze. Staff was accommodating with request for a taxi the morning of checkout. Location was perfect for an early morning flight.

No complaints at all!
This guest house was very close to the airport. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and large (two single beds combined into one). With the windows closed and shutters down, you could barely hear the planes. The shower was the best we had all holiday, with a strong water pressure. The surroundings were also beautiful.

Very skimpy on bathroom amenities like shampoo, conditioner, hand soap. Towels were very few. To say they have a continental breakfast is a far stretch!!
Check in was fairly easy. Sam behind the desk was AMAZING!! So helpful. Spoke perfect English. Made it simple to find our way into Venice
