Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Everything was perfect. We got upgrade for the room and it was just magnificent, felt like being in a palace ! Thanks a lot to Sebiana, she was incredible, she gave us so many tips on where to eat and what to visit. She even made the reservation for dinner for us. It was our final day of vacation and we couldn't have dreamed of a better ending. Breakfast was delicious as well, the parking spot and location were a huge plus.

RomaniaWe had a wonderful stay at Dimora Archimedea. The house has a beautiful garden, full of greenery and shade, where you can really relax and enjoy the summer breeze even on hot days. Inside, everything was spotless — very clean rooms, fresh bed linens, and a well-equipped fridge with everything you might need. Our hosts were extremely kind and welcoming; they even waited for us with a smile although we arrived late at night after our flight. We also really appreciated the free stay for our baby. They provided a spotless and well-prepared crib, which was perfect for our little one — his very first travel bed, and it worked out excellently. We were very satisfied with our stay and we would gladly come back again.

United KingdomWe struggled with the A/C. The venue gets very hot so it is indispensable, but it left the air very dry.
What a gorgeous place! We had an amazing stay. The interior, the communication before and during our stay, the breakfast options, the cats, the cleanliness and safety.

United KingdomThe convenient location necessarily means that it’s close to busy roads. But noise levels fell back by bedtime.
Valentina and her team looked after us very well. Fluent English speakers and strong on pre arrival communications. Stylish property near city centre and about 1.5km from Ortigia. Very convenient for / adjacent to the archeological park, which is well worth visiting. Lovely terrace area screened from the busy road by the house. Everything here has been thought about and works efficiently. Advice about exploring and eating is provided. Delicious breakfast. There is limited on site parking, which can be arranged in advance with the team. Otherwise there is parking locally. Our room was small but comfortable. Would definitely return if we found ourselves in Syracusa again.

IsraelDimora Archimedea is a charming and elegant boutique hotel located about 800 meters from the Old City of Syracuse. The rooms and facilities are not only comfortable but also thoughtfully designed. Whoever was in charge of renovating this historic building did an outstanding job, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. We stayed at Dimora Archimedea for five nights during our family trip to Sicily, and every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. One of the highlights was the family-style breakfasts served in the hotel’s picturesque patio. The food was delicious, and the personalized menu options made each morning special. A special thank you to the hotel manager, Ms. Sebiana Bracciante, for her warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Sebiana set up a WhatsApp group to facilitate communication, allowing us to ask questions, select breakfast menus in advance, and even get local recommendations. It was a brilliant touch—we’d never experienced anything like it before! Sebiana’s background in architecture and history truly enhanced our trip, as her insights and recommendations for daily excursions were invaluable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. A particular favorite was Agora la Cantina—perfect for a leisurely lunch and well worth a visit. Since the hotel is situated in a historical area, parking space is limited. If you plan to use the hotel’s small lot, I recommend contacting them in advance to have the gate opened. Alternatively, free street parking is available just 30 meters uphill from the hotel, which is a convenient option. Overall, Dimora Archimedea is perfect for those seeking a comfortable and memorable stay with a personal touch. We’d happily return!
