You had to pay 5 euros for each swimming pool towel and 5 euros to change swimming pool towels. You were supposed to wear a swimming hat in the pool but no one told us. There was no soap in the toilets by the swimming pool. The bar at the swimming pool did not have food and closed each day from 1-3pm. These are only minor criticisms- we had a lovely week’s stay.

It was newly refurbished, clean, had a lovely restaurant for dinner, lovely breakfast, nice pool and helpful, friendly staff.

The hotel is around 10 minutes walk to the town and old town. It’s around a 2 minutes to the beach and beach bars. The hotel staff are really helpful and friendly. Breakfast great what’s not to like !

Pleasant recent refurbished modern room with balcony, which you could just about see the see the sea at a angle across the public car park. Breakfast was plentiful. Relaxing pool ideal for adults and children with adjacent bar.

The walk to Centro Storico was about 1km. However we were aware of this and the walk was enjoyable.

The buffet breakfast that was offered was great. A lot of options. Also, we were able to order the type of coffee we preferred (to avoid using the automatic machine). Also, you had the option of sitting outside or inside to have the breakfast. We had a car and the time of year we visited (late May), street parking was available and free (up to June 1st).

There is very little near the hotel, other than other hotels, and the main town is a good 30mins walk. This may be an issue for people with mobility difficulties.

As most of the other guests have attested in their reviews, the service the staff provided, from Gabriella, Martire, Victoria, Valeria, Philippo, Antonello, Sylvia and others whose names we were unable to get, was topnotch. Any hotel guest could not ask for more. The breakfast attendants made sure we lacked in nothing. The beds were comfortable for us and the hotel provided an information sheet that if one found the mattress too hard, staff can resolve the issue by providing a mattress topper. Wi-fi was great. There is a bar by the pool as well. The hotel was very clean. Everyday, housekeeping would come to clean the room and replace the towels. Having a wash line in the balcony was very helpful. Breakfast buffet choices exceeded my expectations. Hotel is situated ideally, 15 minutes walk to the Old Town, the beach and a choice of eateries can be found nearby. Parking was 2€/day outside the hotel on the street, within the blue lines. Parking is cheaper at the harbor (1€/day), a bit of a distance away from the hotel. There is a fairly big supermarket called "Eurospin" just around the corner from the hotel. I am at a loss for anything negative to say about the hotel. My only suggestion is that there be a designated non-smoking area so that non-smokers will not have to deal with second-hand smoke.

Great hotel in Vieste. The room was very comfortable and cozy, and the breakfast abundant and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very close to the beach and it's 15 minutes walking distance from the city center. I enjoyed my stay very much and hope to return to beautiful Vieste!

Our stay at Forte 2 Hotel was truly amazing. Everyone at the hotel were really friendly, both at the reception, in the restaurant and at the pool and contributed to making our stay a remarkable and fantastic vacation. Also, we'd like to point out the excellent location of the hotel, very close to the old city center with all of its delicious restaurants and just at the most wonderful beach. Not to mention the boat rides to islands and cave which are leaving just outside the door.
