Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe cleaning was not very good, from the bed if we looked up the chandelier was filled with dust and behind some furniture. The room is somehow connected with the one next to it, the neighbors were very loud, you could ear EVERYTHING.
Given the location the price was nice. The shower had really nice temperature on the water.

United Arab EmiratesThe beginning of the matter is related to paying 20 euros for every hour of delay after 11 pm, at the time when I paid for the full day’s stay, which forced me to stay 4 hours outside so as not to pay an amount more than the price of a night’s stay.. As for the check-out, the time is 10 am, but no one is there, I tried to communicate with them without a response. They only took care of the matter at 3 pm because another persons wanted to make a check-in, which wasted part of my day. As for my desire to throw my luggage for several more hours until the time of the plane, it was in a restaurant belonging to them because there was no one in the place.

Location was fantastic, being so close to Termini station, and yet it never felt unsafe or noisy. Felt very safe, needed several keys to get in to the building and room.

United KingdomFrom the moment we arrived the host would not accept card payment for the tourist tax despite this been quoted in our booking. We then offered cash but they had no change so we had to make payment over 2 days and they came into our room whilst we were out to collect the balance. The toilet cistern was running the whole time we were there and we were unable to flush the toilet at all. There was clearly a plumbing issue with moisture collecting in the bathroom and mould all over the walls. Part of the wooden doorframe fell off the wall in the middle of the night waking us up with a fright. We were put in a basement room meaning we had no access to the window which was a small vent style at the top of the ceiling height. It was not soundproofed as described and we could hear street traffic. No check out instructions were provided.
The location was convenient and on the surface the room was pleasant enough for a brief 2 night stay with a pretty provincial style decor. Building was quiet, we did not see any other guests during our stay.

I then had to go to another hotel and then this ‘luxury house’ started saying that I must have been mixed up and gone somewhere else as I never arrived, yet they had my booking details? Bit of a coincidence that someone else with the exact same name and booking date was staying in the same building as me but with another ‘DD Luxury house’, I think not.

United KingdomWe stayed for 4 nights and our room wasn't even cleaned or towels changed, the room was absolutely in a depraved state with big patches of mould, the bathroom had stains and mud on the floor as if they haven't even cleaned after the last person who stayed there. The window didn't close properly and we faced another building so no light at all. There's no reception and we had to wait outside for our host to arrive. I stayed in other places in Rome and much cheaper and this has never happen. Location is fine near the train station but doesn't necessarily feel very safe as we had to talk by the station every day to g to the centre. Find a location further down from the train station rather than up e.g via Nazionale.
