We sat for 10 minutes considering this and couldn't think of a single thing that we didn't like. Parking is difficult, but it's difficult everywhere on lake Como.

Location was perfect. Literally between the lake front and the road that runs around the lake, which we viewed as a massive positive. Sitting on our balcony with a view of the lake and watching Vespas and Fiat 500s zip past. What's not to like! Proper Italian vibe. We had a flight of steps opposite, which led up to the local (small) supermarket and a couple of restaurants. There was a bus stop right outside and a boat terminal 200 metres away. The accomodation was spotless. Super shower. No air conditioning but 2 fans in the room were quite adequate during the night. Views from the balcony which had a wind out sun shade were excellent, particularly for the fireworks displays dotted about on the lake. Sabrina was the perfect hostess. Exactly the right amount of communication. Helped us navigate past a general strike on our day of departure by organising a taxi, which felt like a Limousine!! Having breakfast items provided was a lovely touch, as was the Prosecco on arrival AND again on departure. We absolutely fell in love with the place and our hosts. We will definitely be going back.

Car parking is a challenge at the property as there are only two spaces outside and as these are public spaces then anyone can park in them, to visit the lake, go for a walk etc. There is some payable parking space at the closest hotel (Imperial) which is currently being renovated. However, the parking is limited to 4 hours between hours of 08:00-00:00, so this means to get through to morning and needing to leave by 8am you will need to be parking by 8pm. If you want to stay in bed or be later than 8am the next morning then you will need to factor in how many hours of your allowable four hours you use before midnight. The other thing we found frustrating (only small frustration) is the main front door which is quite heavy with an overly strong spring which has a habit of swinging shut as you are trying to walk through it. One of our party got caught on the thumb and if this had been a child it could have been a painful injury.

The location of the property is great, providing easy access to the lake ferry services, or for a quick (~25 minutes) drive in to Como by car. Plenty of good restaurants and several nice local bars within ten-twenty minute walk. Facilities in the property are good and make self catering easy - just turn up with food and off you go. Nice shared kitchen area with room and tables to eat, and Sabrina kindly provided coffee pods and cake! The public decking area is very nice and has an uninterrupted fantastic view right on the lake.

Breakfast and cocktails 2 feet from the water on a private dock. 5 minute walk to the ferry dock. Away from the more crowded areas of Lake Como. Sabrina was a wonderful hostess. Well stocked shared kitchen with breakfast items, coffee. Comfortable bed with plenty of towels.

Position! Position! Position! Quiet, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of Como but easy access via ferries. Lovely village, great restaurants close by. View from our bed of the lake was fabulous. Great room size

Walk along narrow roads without pavement a little alarming at first.

Parking is tough. There are only two spots out front and they aren’t private, so anyone can park there. We were there off peak season, not sure how one would find parking in peak season.

Balcony on the lake. I could lie in bed and stare at the lake. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee, milk, sugar, eggs, butter, juice, pots, pans, dishes, wine opener. The bathroom had good water pressure which is a rarity this close to the lake. Everything was cute, super clean and very well maintained. Sabrina was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

The property is extremely well equipped with amenities, making our stay very easy and relaxing. Everything we needed was already at the property, so all we had to do was enjoy the incredible view! The balcony was unreal and literally felt like you were sleeping on the water!

It was on a very busy road and a bit of a dicey corner for walking. Had a bit of a share-house feel, but we had everything we needed. A lot of noise from cars/bus going past on road. Other guests can also be noisy in the shared kitchen.

Stunning Lake view and access for swimming, just a few villa’s away from the famous Versace villa! Walking distance to ferry’s, restaurants and bars.

Absolutely amazing! The property is located right on the water and only 400 meters away from the ferry dock. Everything inside was clean and the hotel has a common kitchen which is serviced on a daily basis. The solarium was also a big plus .

This was our heaven on earth! The setting is stunning, panoramic views, peaceful ....what else can I say....we stayed fir 3 night as a family of 3, with a 15yr old daughter and we fell in love with Darsena di Riva Grande it was just perfect, exactly what we needed follow a busy week touring through Rome & Florence. Sabrina was lovely, and shared kitchen was ideal ample facilities to cook and to our surprise there was complimentary prosecco, water, milk, eggs and continental breakfast with tea, coffee, cereal, croissants, pateries and condiments. We will definitely be back!

Our only complaint is the mattresses are uncomfortable.

Great location near Como but quiet and away from the crowds. We swam in the lake everyday and the view from our balcony was magical. We absolutely loved our time at Darsena di Riva Grande!
