The shower had some black spots in the corners and the water pressure was low. It's worth noting that the hosts can walk on the terrace, so you need to close the shutters for privacy. Another point is that breakfast is prepared in the common room starting around 7:30 a.m., so it can be a bit noisy in the morning.

We were impressed by the magnificent view of the port from the shared terrace, which our room had access to. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was a fantastic way to start our day.

The location is great for convenience when catching a ferry or bus, but that also means you’re in the main port area compared to the old town which has more restaurants and the old Italian town feel. Not a big issue since the old town was only ~15 mins away.

The bests hosts, Domitilla showered us with warmth the whole time and her son Alessandro was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The room was kept extremely clean by our hosts. Great breakfast on the terrace, panoramic views, and location (especially for those without a car). Also in 5-20 min walking distance to beautiful crystal clear beaches, Ghiae, Padullela, Capo Bianco.

Mama and Alessandro are great hosts and we felt super welcomed. They even provided gluten free options for breakfast upon our request. The place is clean, with all amenities, a huge terrace with an incredible view and very well located, close to the ferries and to the buses that take you anywhere on the island. Portoferraio old town is at walking distance.

One of our best stays so far! The room is very clean and the towels were changed everyday. The terrace is spacious and has an amazing view on the island. But the best thing are the owners, Alessandro and his mom. They made our stay so special because they were really kind-hearted and considerate. One of the best parts was the breakfast and the energy that they were giving us. For us this stay is a big recommandation.

Access to the location is not obvious where to go from the street, just talk to the host and he will take you up to the room.

Great location in Portoferraio, especially if you have a rental. There is free parking right next to the building. The host was very friendly and prepared a nice spread for breakfast. Great view of the port from the 8th story.

Where do we start…? We loved the way Ale and his family gave us a warm welcome and went the extra mile to make us feel at home! The crew prepared a custom breakfast just for us with an extra portion of love from Domitilla, who together with Ale was also extremely helpful in giving recommendations about places to visit on the island. The apartment is cozy, very clean and - being located on the top floor of the small skyscraper - it has an exceptional 360-view on Portoferrario. It is also quite literally located across the ferry station so at short walking distance to great restaurants, bars and shops. The small kitchen was also at our disposal when we needed it. Our room had plenty of storage room although it was the smaller of the two in the B&B. Last but not least, we were visiting with our bikes and really appreciated that our hosts let us safely store the bikes on the terrace.

Absolutely amazing location... penthouse condo on main street downtown overlooking harbour. Ideal location for one or two couples (scuba divers??? ... 2 first class bedrooms w private, ensuite bathrooms)... walking distance to all dive boats, restaurants, etc. Photo attached is taken from the 8th floor penthouse patio overlooking Portoferraio harbour. Mother & son hosts are VERY friendly and provide a wonderful breakfast... highly recommended!!

Nothing. Everything was perfect

I had an amazing stay at Dal Sandro B&B. Alessandro and Domitila are super hosts. The communication was perfect even though I arrived late but was in constant touch with Alessandro. Domitila did everything she could to make me feel comfortable and at home. She is a mum away from home. The apartment is opposite the port on the top floor and has 360 degrees views over the port where breakfast is served and from where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Also opposite is the bus station which makes it perfect location for those visiting the island by bus and the nicest beaches are 7 minutes away on foot and its 10 minutes on foot from old town. For those arriving with a car there is a free car park just adjacent to the block where the apartment is. There are also plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room is very spacious and super clean. The room is cleaned every day and fresh, great smelling towels are provided every day. The room is also equipped with a super silent AC. A delicious breakfast is freshly prepared by the hosts that also provide any information and assistance needed. This for sure is the best B&B in Elba. Thank you Domitila and Alessandro for a wonderful stay!
