How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location was amazing, and the added bonus of a room terrace overlooking the Duomo was incredible. We sat and watched the colours change from day to night on the terrace. Staff very helpful with a bus time table (thank you Matteo) Room clean, comfortable and quiet at night.

There was extensive building work on the outside of the building which meant our window was covered by scaffolding and a fabric cloth. This completely blocked any view and we did not feel comfortable opening the curtains due to the workers outside the window. This was not mentioned anywhere on the booking page and we were not contacted to check we were happy. The door to access the third floor (where we stayed) also had to be slammed shut, which woke us up every time someone came or went.
Good accommodation that is near the train station and only a few minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo.

Wish the bed didn’t have the slabs on the side, made it difficult to get in and out of the bed.
Very clean! Incredibly spacious room, the bed was very comfy, the bathroom was big and came with some toiletries. Very safe location, about 7 minute walk from the train station, 2 minute walk to the Duomo. It is on a main road but I did not find it too noisy. Stayed for 2 nights. Great staff who was always nice and helpful when I asked questions. They gave great instructions for how to get there and check in even after the front desk closed, and they also nicely kept my baggage for a few hours after I checked out. Thank you for having me!

Shower needed improving. Whole unit loose and grout / sealant old. Air con didnt go very low and hotel unable to provide a fan.

It was a shame they had building works but they did let us know before hand. A roof top terrace would have made this property a 10!

External building renovations were taking place which made it a little tricky to find. Shower small - although that seems pretty typical for Italy. It was quite expensive for what it is, but I did book last minute and on a Saturday night.
Great location - within city of Florence, close to Duomo and not too long a walk from Train. Staff (Carlos) friendly and helpful, facilities clean and room had been updated. No elevator but staff very helpful with suitcase.

The blocked view due to the renovation of the exterior of the building, but this wasn’t the hotel’s fault as they had warned us about it and even offered a free refund if we decided not to book.
Location was perfect. Smack in the middle of the train station and Duomo. Couldn’t be any closer to the action.

There is sometimes a bad smell. Not all the time, especially at night. The staircase is dark and old. But in all is good hotel.
I like the location. Its a 9min walk from the terminal to the hotel and everything is very close. The famous church is just around the corner and it is not a long walk to the place you want to visit. The room is clean, decent and modern. I would love to book again when giben the chances to be back in Firenze. There are restaurants, cafe and bar around the.

It does not have elevators and it’s a third floor,pack accordingly. It’s quite small and the bathroom especially the shower is a bit uncomfortable. The AC kept turning on and off automatically and that bothered me a little bit.
The location was perfect! Absolutely everything in my itinerary (the main attractions) were walking distance just a few minutes. Never had to take a taxi. Love the view from the window and the terrace is excellent to enjoy the sunset.

Room was nothing special but we were barely in it to care too much. Though we got a room with not a lot of natural light
Really good location, brilliant view from terrace. The apartment was good, good value for money. We didn’t have hot water and as soon as we highlighted this issue, they fixed it very prompty! Very pleased

It was a bit loud just due to the neighborhood and it is up three flights of stairs the listing did not mention.
Location was in a great area. Very easily accessible to both public transportation as well as historical landmarks. It is up three flights of stairs though with no elevator so know that ahead of time.
